Owner doesn't care about hospitality

My husband and I had an extremely rough stay at the Frontier Suites. We had a originally booked a King Size suite with a jacuzzi. But after being shown not one, but TWO dirty rooms, we ended up with whatever was a left: a Queen size suite with no jacuzzi. Then the front desk never had out reservations correctly. To the point that they tried to kick us out in the middle of our stay. After the first night, the kid at the desk gave us $30 off and assured us a manager would comp us more. However, when I talked to the manager, she said she didn't have the authority, by way of the owner, to comp us any more. Understand, our vacation was ruined and $30 wouldn't even cover dinner for two. When I asked the manager for the owners name, she said that she wasn't allowed to say. Seriously... The owner instructed his staff not give out his name. That's not shady at all!
They charged us $164 a night (for a room we didn't originally book), for a subpar suite with extremely bad wifi and 7 channels on the TV. You definitely don't get what you paid for.

Long layover

A good place to stay if you have a long layover (mine was 11 hours!) between flights at Juneau. Airport pickup/dropoff service is very good, but not available 24/7, so check times if you travel very late or early. Suite was large, comfortable, and more than adequate in space. TV and wi-fi worked fine. A few caveats: (1) the pod for the dishwasher was placed on the bathroom sink - I nearly used it on my hands by mistake, (2) hotel provides freezer space nearby if you are carrying fish, but again the access is NOT 24/7 as advertised, and (3) the "B" building is a long walk from the front desk.

Juneau-Seattle Layover

I was a little bit discouraged with the location of my room upon arrival. We were a bit tired from fishing for 5 days and not looking forward to the rest of the trip home. Being it was not easily located, (2 buildings over, next to Domino's Pizza/Business Offices). We had to walk, with our luggage a bit to the extended stay rooms, but once inside, we were delightfully surprised with the clean expansive 2-Queen bed room. I mean it has a complete kitchen, recliner and was also extremely comfortable. Even though we were only going to be in it for a few hours, it was nice after a week of sub par accommodations. It would be PERFECT for a future trip if I wanted to check out Juneau and all it has to offer. Even though it is located right on Glacier Hwy, the noise was not present. It's also located next to a busy restaurant. We stayed on the first floor with abut 4-5 rooms from the road. I would/will stay there if/when I return.

Convenient, decent property but service lacking

The property is okay - liked the kitchen, though it would have been nice to have paper towels and some dish soap. There were some long dark hairs on the walls of the shower/tub. The toilet clogged and we asked for a plunger -- got one that didn't work at all. I got a better one from the front desk. Housekeeping did not service our room, even though we called to say we had left the room and it was ready to be cleaned. They did deliver clean towels when we asked. The bed skirt was a hideous pattern/color that did not match the bedspread at all. The second time we stayed, there were NO hangers at all in the closet. The property is nice enough, but the service and lack of attention to the little things brought the rating down.

Good location for airport and the Valley. Nice kitchenette stocked w/ dishes etc. Dishwasher. Staff even washes dishes daily. Always clean. My first choice if I am staying near the valley/airport in Juneau. I've been staying at Frontier Suites for probably 15 years.
