Reasonable Hotel for Short Stays

aisfam11on 31/03/2017 15:40

This hotel is a reasonable priced and well maintained hotel for the costs charged. Front deck staff is friendly and provides assistance when necessary, especially with information in the local area. Rooms are clean and comfortable. One drawback to western travelers - the bathrooms lack washcloths bar soap. Only soap provided is liquid soap. If you want either or both, bring them yourself in a zip lock bag.

The restaurant, however, is a different story. The breakfast as not up to standards with cold food and mediocre selection. The omelet station would be great except, at least my omelet, was oozing with raw egg, very undercooked. Tried room service and no menu was present in room. Went to 2nd Fl restaurant to find out it was closed and the first floor restaurant (where morning breakfast is served) was very underwhelming. Tried to order room service from the menu to discover they charge a 20% service fee (the restaurant is 10%). For a restaurant to turn down business when a full staff is there and no one is present (2 tables were being used), one would think they would try to keep things reasonable to keep the business up (in the seating area or room service).

Good place to stay overall, but be prepared to travel outside the hotel if you want better food for a less expensive price.

10 days business

Clean and neat, However very disappointed with comfort and breakfast. Comfort: A/C doesn't work; you will go to bed with 25.5 °C in your room, put your A/C to blast at 18° and wake up with the same 25° after changing and turning your pillow 12 times during the night because it's soaked. Luckily I went in the cold season so I eventually opted to sleep with the balcony doors open and do my best to ignore the outside noise. Breakfast: options of pork, pork and pork or rabbit food... one does not need to be a Muslim not to eat pork (sensible people won't) but the options for non pork eaters are poor to say the least. For the Western style breakfast you will have the option of bread and egg or bread and jelly. That's it. The Taiwanese breakfast is, as said above.. pork, the chef's recommendation (pork) and pork. This was my third time in Taiwan and I must say that I have had better experiences. Service and friendliness are perfect by the way.

6 hours in and out....but pretty good

It was really late, and I got a taxi from the airport at 0145 in the morning. I was dropped off outside the Fullon Hotel in Linkou and went inside. There was a note next to the lift saying Lobby on Floor 5….so I went in and went up to Floor 5.
When I reached the check in counter and showed the guy behind the counter my booking, he apologized, and said that I was at the wrong Fullon Hotel in Linkou. He said that there were 2 and it was the other one! He rang me a cab, and it arrived in a few minutes and took me the 3 minutes ride to the other Fullon Hotel!
They were expecting me and I was checked in and in my room within a 5 minutes.
My room was quite large and it was clean, had a big double bed, desk, free wifi, large LCD TV kettle, and clean and well supplied bathroom. There was some complimentary fruit and some bottles of water in the room.
It was 0230 and I was finished. I had a Shower and crawled into bed. I didn't hear a thing and slept until 0715 when my alarm (and then an alarm call) woke me up. I ate breakfast in the room (there was a kettle and I made myself a coffee).
I checked out at 0850.
Overall – Good - not too expensive – clean – I can't remember much more than that (I was only about there for about 6 hours). The pig's ear with the mix up in Hotels was a pain.

Business Trip

Stayed here for two nights in September on a quick visit for work. Nice and clean hotel. Perfect for business trip. Good location and not far from everything I needed. Will definitely stay again if on my own however probably not suitable if I visit with my family.

Dirty!

We only stayed here for one night, this hotel is by far the dirtiest place that I have visited. It is near to the airport and may seem to be a good choice, but the bathroom is covered in mold, stains on the carpets everywhere, nasty smell in the elevator and my colleague had blood stains on his bathroom towels. When I mentioned this to the receptionist, all she said was 'I will inform housekeeping'. Will not go there again...
