What People are saying

Reasonable Hotel

THEN Non 15/04/2017 14:17

My experience about this hotel is clean, simple, comfortable bed, clean toilet and reasonable. My other observation was breakfast was below expectation, food served were mostly oriental, poor selection of pastry, Chinese type selection. The other observation was room emergency sign light was too bright, it is very disturbing, I had asked the housekeeping to switch it off but they said it is for emergency purposes not encourage to switch it off.

If you are the person that cannot sleep with the light on, please avoid this hotel. Also, this hotel is about 10 km away from Taipei City, taxi fare to city is about NT$350 but if you are saving type, you may use the public bus which is convenient and quick.

Internet speed is fast and stable.

Good Hospitality. Poor Infrastructure

To start with the Breakfast buffet is not continental as any star hotel is supposed to be.Menu is mainly local Chinese cuisine, bread,Kelloggs and egg ws my staple during my 10days on business stay. Fruits is everyday watermelon and orange some days if u r lucky. Rooms always smelled like cigarette smoke and poorly lit harly 4 bulbs in which 1 was not functional, so a bit of pain to work on laptop t night... Wifi is Pathetic i got used to gthis smell almost believing it could be room freshener fragrance of new kind. Bed is good.Toilet is spacious with tub. Housekeeping staff is courteous and always used to change used slippers which was not really required. The front desk executives was polite and nice and helped me for local routes/bus details/shuttle booking.
Wifi connection is pathetic and i ended up using my mobile data and tethering.
The rooms are controlled by centralised AC and no user control to customers for choosing desired temperature.Which is strange. Had tough time to explain this to the staff who always said cannot make it more hot as other customer prefer more cold and certalised control meaning the temperature buttons in each room is dummy and will not reach the desired room temperature.
The swimming pool is also not functional in March and opens only in May ,which is againg strange.
Gym is Good , Sauna is not functional.
The shuttle van was good with a polite driver always maintaining the Drop and Pickup timings.

Overall average hotel in terms of infrastructure. Only the Staff courtesy and proximity to my workplace would bring me back to this hotel,if at all next time.

my stay in Fullon Hotel

The room was OK with a beautiful view of highway.
But the meals were so-so. The breakfast meals was so ordinary and not delicious.
The dining room was noisy during the breakfast, because lots of tourist groups from China & Korea came and talked each other.

Good hotel but too far from downtown

Overall quite a nice comfortable hotel, nice breakfast altough adding bacon and yoghurt to the variety would be appropriate. It's good to have a supermarket, familymart, and some taiwan delicacies nearby. Major drawback: quiet area, too far from downtown.

Unprofessional & rude!!!

If I could give 0 stars to Fullon Hotel Taipei East aka Fullon Hotel Shengkeng, I would do that. We ended up here for 4 nights on our way to Palau as a result of the China Airlines strike. In all fairness, the rooms are ok (but run down). We have food coupons to the buffet restaurant, which is really low standard. The problem is the staff who are seriously unprofessional and somewhat rude (maybe even not realising this themselves?) Having travelled for around 30 hours to reach Taipei, and then being kept in the airport for around 7 hours before China Airlines told us what to do, was a hassle. The totally incredible thing was that the night receptionist at the hotel kept calling us in the middle of the night for two nights in a row for some very strange and non-urgent reasons. We told her to stop, please stop - but she kept on!!! It was totally incredible, nearly like a bad movie. Needless to say we ended up totally sleep deprived and seriously jet lagged. The third night I went to the reception and told them not to call us under no circumstances during the night, and then it seemed to stop, but I have never heard about a hotel who repeatedly contact their costumers in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. Especially as we had been in contact with the reception several times during the daytime, everyday. AVOID THIS HOTEL IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!!!!!
