Decent place
PratsBon 06/01/2014 10:05Gaffino's is a very old hotel, has been there since more than 10 years. Rice Bowl is now the restaurant. Their starters are really good. Enough for 2 people. Avoid the mushroom starters. It's not a great place, but very reasonable. Clean surroundings.
No frills decent hotel
ArjunNairon 10/12/2013 09:14Gaffino's at Cavelossim stretch (opposite Tito's) is a good no frills hotel. The rooms are decent, A/C, bathrooms are clean. There are no TV's in the rooms. This works fine for the people who are looking for a hotel without too much luxury. There are plenty of good eating joints closeby so food is no issue. It is about a 7-10 mins walk from the beach. I did not use the restaurant so not sure of how the food is. Overall good stay.
Did not Stay .. Had a few meals
esskayw115on 16/10/2013 05:34Was staying at Haathi mahal next doors and had three meals. The restaurant is Rice Bowl and served good Indo-Chinese. Food was quite tasty and wholesome. Ambiance is simple, however the complex is clean and airy (not air-conditioned). Staff is warm and prices reasonable.
Would recommend the place.

its-puttingon 27/04/2013 09:01basic yes, you get what you pay for. pre order the day before and you can have any food you want , they will even make you a nice English Sunday roast dinner,.we have stayed many times and cant wait for our next time,. ROB N ROSE
Gaffinos is a guest house its not a posh hotel , but they do have a posh hotel just up the road so why not try that if you want to pay more,.
Disappointing
Dee32994on 27/03/2013 07:20This hotel is situated in a prime location with easy access to the beach and most good restaurants.
The staff are friendly, but on arriving at 1am we were tired and thirsty, I asked for bottled water...NONE available. There was no chance of any refreshments or even a cup of tea.
The hotel is primarily aimed at a Russian clientele with the 'RULES' written in Russian and it was only when a party of these arrived did they bother to stock the bar fridge with soft drinks.
The rooms were acceptable and the maids friendly and efficient.
Although the sister hotel was available for our use, the pool was too cloudy and green to even put my toes in. Again the staff were Ok but not overly helpful.
We wil not return as there are several superior hotels in the same locality.
