Umpireallieon 02/08/2017 20:52We were in Louisville for a conference and stayed at the Galt House due to its close proximity to the Muhammad Ali Center. It is in a great location right on the river and just a block from 4th street live! Also easy access to the interstate if you do have to travel.
What we loved...we had a small problem with housekeeping and never in my life have I had such immediate response. They had someone in our room within minutes of calling the desk. So quick I honestly thought it was a friend stopping by to visit. The problem was resolved easily and the staff was wonderful.
The Magnolia Cafe...we would have loved to say we went out and enjoyed Louisville but we were traveling with an infant so by the end of our meetings and having a baby along we just wanted food. The food and service in the Magnolia Cafe was outstanding. The burgers were great, the hot brown is a must have and the steaks were tender and delicious. Whatever you do don't pass us dessert!
What we didn't like...the mattresses were run of the mill hotel mattresses and somewhat hard.
The hallways were hot and I know this is being picky but summertime in the south we like cool places.
Parking was a bit expensive. We normally valet park but at $28/day and at least a 30-45 minute wait we chose to self park. Even then it was $20/day.
Overall we had a good stay!

T Bon 02/08/2017 14:28Although this is an older hotel, it is well maintained...a bit dated, but well maintained. There are very friendly employees who are more than willing to assist you with regards to your comfortable satisfactory stay.
Wonderful family reunion.
Diane Mon 02/08/2017 04:15We had such a great time. We used to dance at the Galt House once a month while we were stationed at Fort Knox. My Dad and several cousins from England stayed there. So when we were planning a movie no family reunion I knew we should stay there. It was a great choice.
Okay hotel but poor customer service
lw1021on 01/08/2017 15:29We stayed here after reading it was the place to be. The location was great but the staff was not focused on providing a positive experience and I was disappointed in how they responded to my requests.
