This hotel came as part of a package deal on a European vacation that had me in Portugal, Italy and France. Unfortunately, this was the only hotel that my wife and I forgot to do my due diligence and really check out ahead of leaving on the trip. Shame on us and that will never happen again.
When I got to the hotel, I did not want to even check in. I was more than willing to lose the money we had already paid and started looking for an alternate place to stay. I was more than ready to spend another $500 to 600+ on another decent hotel for two nights we would be in Paris. My wife protested, as the couple we were with would not be able to do the same, and reluctantly and against my better judgement I stayed to not ruin the vacation.
This hotel is by far one of the worst places I stayed at. It reminds me of a hotel that is rent by the hour, if you get my drift. It is in a bad and dangerous location. It’s not a family friendly area. See the reviews for this place as others have been robbed in the immediate area.
The complete list of things wrong with this hotel are far too many to list here, but here are a few;
Rowdy nightlife
Small and dingy rooms
Ratty/torn old stained curtains
Dirty sheets - They were not replaced
Disgusting Bathroom with:
Black mold on the tiles
Broken tiles
Broken glass on the show surround
Breakfast, consisting of croissants, cereal and coffee, was paid for as part of the original booking but I couldn't bring myself to eat there. The couple who went with us did and the manager gave them a hard time about it and wanted to charge them again. The breakfast was not ready at the time the manager stated, and he had to send someone out to go get croissants as they didn't have anything ready for the people who were staying at the hotel.

We were hoping to find a cheaper hotel near the train station so we wouldn't have as far to go, but this is not the place. It's in an unsafe place. There's a lot of crime in this neighborhood. We had a backpack stolen and the manager said we should expect that in a large city. The walls are paper thin and a couple was screaming at each other. There's only 1 small elevator that only holds 2 people and the numbers skip around. There was a family that brought their luggage down to be locked in a closet by the office as they didn't trust it being left in the room. The hotel needs a deep clean as well. We made other arrangements for another hotel early the next morning.

Great location between cool places to eat and the Charles de'Eau metro stop. Staff was nice during check-in. That's where the good stops. Pillows were like paper. bathroom had black grout and hairs on the ceiling and floor. Breakfast was only water down coffee and croissants (but they charge 8Euro!).
To top if off, the hotel did NOT acknowledge that we chose the reservation with breakfast included and charged us (again) for breakfast.

My husband and I stayed 5/23/2017 and had only booked the first night of our stay in Paris, at this hotel - the reason being the reviews online weren't so great. I booked the rest of our stay at a different hotel that was better reviewed and was more centrally located. However, I completely wish I would have booked our entire stay at the Hotel Garden Opera!
The area was AMAZING. There were several restaurants and bars right outside of the hotel, and it seemed pretty alive for a Wednesday night.
The hotel provided wi-fi and they had adaptors available for electricity plugs. The room and bathroom each had a large window that you could open, and the shower had a rainfall shower head.
Excellent value for the price. I would stay again and definitely recommend.

Take no notice of the photographs this Hotel have posted on their website and Booking.com etc.... as in reality this Hotel is disgusting. We couldn't even shower it was that bad, there where long dark hairs all wrapped around the shower head, filthy dirty fixed shower screen, pubic hairs all over the bathroom floor, thick dirt and dust around edges of carpets and tiled floor, stained bed sheets, 4 beds crammed into a Double size room made out to be a family room, grey dusty net curtains, antiquated furniture, hole in the ceiling covered with tape, wardrobe not even deep enough to hang clothes in, so it was useless, the hole Hotel smelt awful...Need I say more? We had booked this Hotel for 4 nights as the website stated that all rooms where refurbished and showed photographs of nice bright hotel rooms. We packed up and left after 2 days as we couldn't stand to stay there any longer and had to pay for another hotel. The Hotel is also situated in a rough part of Paris, many gangs congregate on street corners which is very intimidating. We did not feel safe as a family of 4 out on the streets at night. This Hotel totally ruined are trip to Paris. TAKE MY ADVICE AND STEER CLEAR!! See photographs!
