Lovely holiday in a good place

Great location. Hotel is in a center of Alanya and the castle of Alanya. Famous beach Kleopatra is few minutes of walk. Staff is friendly. Restaurant is in the 5th floor with a great panoramic view to the sea. Choice of food is not great but all is always fresh and tasty. Cleaning of rooms is each day. All rooms are standard but it's more than enough if you are not going to spend all days in the room. Most of the staff speak German. But some know little English. Gokhan at the reception speaks also Russia. He helped us a lot with any issues and made our stay comfortable.
Due to the location it's easy to go around the city, shopping and restaurants.

Well this was our first time in Turkey having worked hard with no break for a over a year my partner and i stayed at the Gardenia. We found staff to be unfriendly, unhelpful, miserable and poor standard of English, this we found throughout our stay in fact some staff were rude and ignorant. The food breakfast and dinner was absolute rubbish and unedible our only saving grace was we were central to the main road which had lots of restaurants and steak houses which we used. Our room was OK but without any view facing east of the hotel which was directly in front of another hotel making our view a brick wall unless we crooked our neck left where we could see the sea. Most if not all of the facilities were off site ie across by the beach. Also all the hotels in this area have their swimming pools at the front or on a main road so it is in view of every passing person!
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone but mainly due to the staff who knew nothing about customer service and were rude useless and unhelpful.

First of all, if Tripadvisor would let me leave a 0 rating I would have! I never leave Reviews but I had to WARN other travellers against this hotel! Staff are rude, unhelpful, ignorant & do not smile at all & just useless! In-room fridge doesnt work, wouldn't come & fix it & staff unaware who or when it could be fixed! Had to have warm water everyday! Breakfast & Lunch rubbish & tasteless! Not allowed to bring food or drinks (soft drinks) into the hotel! They have no iron, have to pay extra for a room safe, beds are like sleeping on rocks! AC faulty! Have to pay extra for WIFI! No WIFI even in the lobby! Rooms are rubbish & below standard! A lady slipped & fell on the stairs with a glass of wine, glass smashed everywhere, when i told the reception desk it took them 30 mins to clean it & were not bothered of the broken glass & the safety of their guest! DO NOT BOOK! I have travelled all over the world & this is by far the worse hotel I have ever stayed in! Book an alternative hotel next door which will have same access to the beach.

From my side neither a good hotel nor an decent place.
My room was too small. Cleaning was OK. Food was
just edible only Turkish Local cuisine no International
foods. Most of the things was pay extra. etc. internet
wi-fi, towels, some of the drinks etc etc. Not liked and
never wanted to again also will never suggest to my
friends. Only positive thing was in the front of the sea.

Gardenia hotel in ALANYA

Nice hotel near beach and centrum. Beach Bar no:6 belong Gardenia and Riviera hotel together. Restorant is spectacularin the on the topfloor and dinner was however no complaints. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel have good entertainment brogram every week.
