Cozy hotel near the lake
FrlPon 23/08/2017 07:13Stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Adler with the full family (4 rooms) when we came for the Bregenz Opera in July.
We were surprised by the rooms which seemed all recently refurbished and very modern with a touch of wood. The hotel is close to the train track, we did not hear it at night even though our window was open. But other family members could hear the tracks.
Breakfast was included in our rate and is average. We dined one night at Adler and all liked the traditional food, despite the portions being too huge.
Would recommmend the hotel.
Lovely small town with very good bike friendly hotel/restaurant
PairADoxCycleon 02/06/2017 14:04Arrived at the hotel in Nonnenhorn at 1530 and unable to check in till 1700 - a bit of an inconvenience but EisCafe was close so rode our bikes 1.0km and ate ice cream . Checked in and young man at reception was great . Very friendly and spoke English quite well . Got a less expensive smaller room with only one window and it was hot so room was also hot but cooled down at night . Should have upgraded a bit . Some English channels on TV
Excellent secure bike storage . No soap in room anywhere. Bed was comfortable and room plus bathroom was clean . Close to Bodensee Radweg with easy access.
The dinner at their in-house restaurant was very good with nice ambience and reasonable priced great food . Serving staff was also very friendly.
Breakfast was excellent and another young man at reception was also very friendly, helpful and spoke better English then I speak German. Very Good experience
Nice Gasthaus near the lake "Bodensee".
990magnuson 01/11/2016 07:37Very cosy " Gasthaus" near the lake Bodensee. Very charming outside and modern rooms inside. There restaurang was tariffic. And wins from the surrounding tasting very good. It was the experience you have expected in a smal nice village like that. We have ordered see view but it was nearly that you could see the lake. Disappoint for that.Next time do we order an ordinary room for a better price. You have to go there.
A lovely renovation to a delightful Gasthaus
Prof1000on 27/10/2016 23:11While visiting friends in Wasserburg I stayed a number of nights at the Adler and this was my second visit. They have recently renovated their rooms, but my first visit was before the renovation. Had two heavy bags and there was no elevator. But it is foolish to describe what no longer exists. They have done up their hotel to 21st century standards. A more cozy, comfortable room it would be difficult to find. There is an elevator, Wifi and an adequate breakfast. I was there off season and during the spring and summer the draw of the Bodensee must make this Gasthaus very busy. The staff is friendly and helpful and Americans should not be hesitant about booking there. All in all, a very good choice if you are visiting that region of the Bodensee.
Great family run traditional hotel
David317317on 21/03/2015 03:31This was our last stop before leaving Germany and heading to Switzerland and we couldn't have asked for a better hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was spacious, the location right next the lake was beautiful and dinner at the end of the day was amazing. We would definitely stay there again.
