Charged extra for kids even though they were on the booking
Trine Hon 05/08/2017 20:18We needed a one night stay on our way to Italy and booked gasthof Petra for two adults and two children. We got a family room with a bath where the drain didn't work properly and no door. And the room had no curtains.
The madrases where the best we had ever slept on.
When we checked out we were charged 33 euros extra for the kids even though they were on the original booking confirmation and being 8 and 9 years old they needed no extra crip.
Will not recommend this place.
Grim
Libby Ton 28/03/2016 20:23The photos say it all. The place was filthy. Ants crawling around dying plants, fleas noted jumping around the baby cot, dust and crumbs all over the bedroom floors, rugs caked in dirt and dust, old towel in a cupboard. And the bathroom...... The shower stand fell off the wall, the toilet bowl stained, pubic hair all over the tiled bathroom floor, clearly not been cleaned in ages. And the place stinks of grease and fat from the restaurant. Honestly do not entertain staying here.
Needless to say we left the same day and are still itching!
Good
MariWolfe929on 06/03/2016 18:14We stayed at Gasthof Petra for a family ski vacation with our two young boys (4 &6). We had a hard time finding the location because the sign was small (it's above the Wienerwald) but eventually located it. Then we couldn't find the front office and walked to the second and third floors looking for it. Eventually, we found out you have to go in the restaurant to fill out the paperwork, pay and get keys. Including that information when someone reserves that room would be helpful.
The room itself was fine and clean. There was a balcony facing a playground and we never ran out of hot water. The walls are not very thick so one has to keep that in mind when talking or if bringing younger kids. The internet was not reliable and sometimes the connection is dropped, however, beds are comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Also, no bathrooms in the room but one you share down the hall (which were clean.)
Breakfast was fine with lots of various breads, meats, cheeses, fruit, soft boiled eggs, juices, and coffee. One of the nice men working there (who spoke English) made hot chocolate for our boys for breakfast and our boys enjoying saying "hi" to the owner's dog who was roaming the restaurant in the morning.
The location is great and just a few minutes drive to where we went skiing and a few minutes to the Therme, which was great to go after skiing.
I'm not sure why this place has not gotten better ratings but we were more than happy with it and would stay again.
Danke schön fur alles Gasthof Petra. The Wolfe Family.
