Knut Jørgen Hon 30/07/2016 09:18A superb gasthof to stay at along the autobahn. We stayed here for one night on our way from Croatia to Berlin. Nice room (in fact, much better than the 4,5 star apartment at the resort we left), friendly staff, good restaurant, quiet surroundings and safe parking.
Gemütlich! Great small town Gasthof run by charming family
John Hon 05/07/2015 15:54If you're looking for a gemütlich, family-run Gasthof in a picturesque little Franconian village, you can't do better than this. Our family of four was perched atop the house looking directly at the old church belltower. The host family's matriarch still works in the restaurant, cheerfully serving local favorites... like venison. This is not a chain hotel, and it doesn't offer those kind of features. Thank goodness. My family found this Gasthof unforgettable.
Guest house is the best
Debbiethetravleron 18/04/2013 05:16A very home away from home. This guest house in Zell, Germany was just that. We stayed as a family of 4, the rooms were spacious and comfortable with a private bath. We arrived late and they came to the door to great us. The family had a wonderful European breakfast waiting for us in the morning at 8 am , just as we had asked the night before. Service was wonderful. We look forward to staying there again on a future trip to the Zell area.

Gunny75on 27/03/2013 00:51Old world charm with great service. We arrived late from Poland and was met by the owners. The gave us our key and we took our luggage to the room to rest. The Gasthof is next door to a church with a large bell tower. It is set in the middle of town and is easy to find. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Overall we truly enjoyed ourselves and would gladly return for a longer stay. The price was quite reasonable for four weary travelers. The owners were very helpful when we asked about the Post and bank.
Nothing special and a bit damp
intrepid100Scotlandon 25/08/2011 18:49An isolated town, but a friendly welcome from this family run hotel. We stayed in hte annexe building on the ground floor. It needed 3 doors unlocked and locked each time you went in and out (a bit annoying) and the room was damp and cold despite high temperatures outside. Old fashioned bathroom but clean. Breakfast nothing to write home about and coffee was definately just brown water. Stay a bit nearer Bad Berneck is my suggestion, especially considering hte price here. Restaurant cooking very average. Beer Ok!
