What People are saying

Wonderful Resort in amazing location with spectacular views.

Chris Kon 24/05/2017 02:38

We stayed at this resort for a weekend business retreat. If you are looking for a luxury resort in a secluded location, you would be hard-pressed to find a better resort.

It has to be one of the most picturesque settings for a resort that I have ever seen.
I absolutely love the decorum of the rooms(see included photos).

The spa facilities are great.

The antique car museum is very interesting, with some of the most beautiful classic cars ever.
The staff is very professional and very helpful.

I am looking forward to returning to this fine resort.

Majestic

This resort is one of the most beautifully kept I've been too. The surrounding landscape is majestic and inspiring. The cottonwoods are in bloom, cotton flying everywhere like fluffy snowflakes. Very pretty.
Staff are all friendly and give great service.
The rooms, restaurants, and grounds are beautiful.
It's also home to the Gateway Auto Museum, Driven Experience, and Gateway Airtours, and offers various activities such as UTV riding, horseback etc. and spa of course.
My only negative is that their wine list is very limited and not up to my expectation for such an otherwise perfect resort.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, a great experience

While it takes some effort to get to this remote location, once you arrive you may not want to leave. I've been a few times for work-related programs and loved it. In my experience it's second only to the Sorrell River Ranch in total awesomeness, and that's just because Sorrell River Ranch has a bigger river. The onsite adventure staff can take you on all kinds of cool trips through the spectacular surroundings, from rock climbing to rafting on the Delores River that runs about 30 feet away, to horseback riding to ATVing. It even has its own car museum and dirt track. It's all wonderful!

A must for car fans and not. A sample of beautifully restored (made in the USA) vehicles from 1906-1990s. Focusing on the innovation and design as expressed through Henry Ford, Harley Earl, Dusenberg, Darrin and others. Cars showcased include the Oldsmobile F-88, Hollywood movie star glamour cars, etc. Best deal for $10 located in a gorgeous 5* resort setting in a red rock canyon. About 1 hr drive SW of Grand Junction, CO.

This is one of the most unique places I have visited, and worth figuring out how to get here! (We drove from Denver, seeing some sights along the way, and the same going back. About 5 hours driving time, but views and activities along the way to enjoy.) The geography / geology is spectacular, lots of history to learn about, and endless activities to enjoy. Too many to list, so check out the website. We enjoyed hiking, UTV's up to the uranium mines, horseback riding (great horses and staff!), the car museum, dinosaur track hike, and the great cars available for a drive. The restaurants are very good, nice wine list, and very reasonable. The facility is wonderful architecture and designed to fit perfectly in the surroundings. Nice to wander the grounds and admire the attention to details. Our room was large and VERY comfortable with a spectacular view of the palisade. I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful each of the staff were. They knew our names and were always full of helpful information about activities, history, etc. Some of the activities may seem a bit pricey, but like most things, you get what you pay for, and it was worth it! I hope we can make a return visit soon!
