Better than expected
daguesarahon 11/04/2017 22:32Read a lot of iffy reviews and was nervous after booking. Went for a weekend family getaway. Wasn't aware the building was up the street from the main building but didn't mind. We had our own parking lot and didn't have to deal with a parking garage. we were one of few people there and had the lot mostly to ourselves. Check in was quick easy and friendly. Pulled up and our door was peeling paint and I immediately expected the worst. Opened it and was pleasantly surprised. Room was very updated. Clean and nice. We had a studio, kitchen was clean and equipped. Was prompted to go next door for a "welcome packet" and told them we'd come later and never made it. Didn't really need it. We planned on going to the pool but stayed busy and never made it. Nice to be in walking distance to all gatlinburg fun. The walk back up the hill was rough but we managed lol. We enjoyed our stay. We paid under $200 for 3 days, I can't imagine paying 200 per night to be in the holiday inn across the street, when all we do in our room is sleep anyway. Definitely coming back in the future.
Not real thrilled with our suite
PatinSCon 10/11/2016 00:50There is no room service. No facial tissues were provided. Room needed to be fumigated as we killed five roaches. Air conditioning unit was loud and went on and off all night. We ended up leaving the balcony door open at night.
Vacation from hel
alaweih01on 12/10/2016 12:31We arrive there, they gave us a room all dusty, Tv not working dishwasher loose top stove did not work on the top of that all a construction right under the window starts at 6:30 am every day. We cut our vacation short we left on Thursday instead of Saturday.
Not worth it to stay here
Kimberly Won 28/09/2016 22:23Didn't care for hotel. Pool and hotel was dated. Room looked out to someone's home. Windows covered with webs. Bathroom very small and dated. Front desk staff was friendly but didn't provide any details of resort or amenities. Parking is limited. Pretty sure we heard bear near our door during the night. Our room was down dark hallway with no peep hole.
Much better than expected
Hils900on 08/08/2016 22:18I booked through Expedia and I thought I was staying at the Town Square, but after researching more I realised I was actually staying in the Town Village. It was misleading where I had booked to stay at. After reading the reviews I was quite concerned about staying here due to a lot of bad reviews, but I was very happy to find how nice it was here.
We booked two rooms, both were completely different even though they were next to each other. One had cooking facilities (oven, hob etc) and the other didn't. The other one had a huge whirlpool bath in the main living area (as well as a normal bathroom with shower and bath), whereas the first one didn't. Both had microwaves and fridges. The fridges were very useful to keep our drinks cold as the outside temperatures were close to 100 degrees whilst we were there.
Both rooms had lovely looking fires. It must be lovely staying here in winter.
The wifi signal in both our rooms was very poor and mostly to get a signal we had to sit just outside our rooms, overlooking the front reception area and mini garden.
There is an outdoor swimming which unfortunately we didn't get chance to try out. There's plenty of car parking available. There is no food available here, but there are several restaurants in the same road and a huge amount in the main centre of Gatlinburg, which is only a short walk away.
The price was really quite good for the rooms we had. The rooms were very clean but we didn't have anyone come in to clean our rooms whilst we were there (2 nights) which wasn't a problem for us.
I guess the only problem we had was there were quite a few ants running around close to the window/bed. They didn't come onto the bed but we couldn't leave anything sweet on the bedside table otherwise the ants just swarmed it. I think this was only a temporary problem and when we checked out they were going to do whatever they do to get rid of them. It certainly won't stop me from staying here again.
The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we spoke to them.
