The room was dirty, the bathroom had paint peeling off the walls and the carpet was nasty wit gum and or candy matted i it. The cable TV Has one channel- HBO and nothing else. The WiFi is very week, there was suppose to be a coffee maker in the room, not there. There were no towels, the front desk said they had been full for the last week and hadn't had a chance to get up the. The beds were clean and fairly comfortable but my grandson woke up with some type of bug bites could have been spiders or some other type of bug, I don't know I never saw the bugs. I didn't expect the Hilton for the price but I did expect better than I got.
Horrible

I started out by booking this online, with the rating on the website showing up as "pleasant". Pulling into the parking lot, the place looks nice from the outside. I went into the lobby and no one was around, I rang the bell and still, no one. I finally called the hotel's # and told them I was waiting to check in.
I rented the Queen Suite because it had 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa. We went into a HOT room. This was at 10:00 pm and we were all exhausted from being at a ball tournament all day, so a hot room isn't comfortable when your tired and ready to shower and sleep.
We pulled out the pull out sofa, and the mattress was dirty and stained with something red and crusty. We closed it up and I went to inspect the rest of the place. Long story short, after checking on another room that was dirtier than this one, we stayed after the front desk clerk came in and cleaned our bathroom for us.
I wouldn't walk across the carpet barefoot. And to top it all off, the unvacuumed carpet had dead bugs on it... needless to say this was the nastiest place I have ever had to stay in and if it hadn't had been so late and we were so tired, we would have demanded a refund and left.
Rooms have paper thin walls so be prepared to be woke up at 5:30 am by your neighbors tv.
Missed Opportunity

First, Paul at the desk was amazing! He was the ONE thing good! Other than that, the sheets were clean, carpet vacuumed, sink & toilet clean. The shower had no overflow cover, just a hole. The ceilibng was covered with black mold, which I sprayed myself with lysol bleach. Paul offered but was easier to do myself. Water pressure was great, almost like pressure washing! The details of housekeeping were totally below acceptable. Corners dirty, behind dresser filthy, shades dusty. Outside walkways dirty, ice machine had grunge and dead moths all over it. Obviously nothing is monitored to be properly cared for. A/C filter got us both stuffed up and was filthy! Breakfast was laughable. Presentation was....none! This is a perfect place for Anthony of Hotel Impossible to come to. Paul is a young guy, obviously overworked (on call 24/7) and not appreciated. This could be a gold mine with a few cheap upgrades and decent staff! I got it for $45/night and it was barely worth it. I wouldn't pay more.
Rather have slept in the car

Recommended by a friend who obviously never stayed there. The outside didn't look bad but looks can be deceiving. The room was dark and smelled bad. The tub had a crack in it and we were on the second floor, I hope it wasn't leaking onto the first floor. It was mended with what looked like tape and bondo like material. I think I might have gotten a better nights sleep if I had slept in the car. At least I wouldn't have to worry about some crawly friends coming to welcome me to the General Bragg Inn! Also they had 2 TV's in the room. A flat screen and an old clunky one. Guess they didn't want to bother getting rid of the old one.
