Historic hotel

My husband and I stayed here while recently attending a Bucknell Graduation. Although the hotel is historic and slightly out of date, the room we stayed in was quite large, more like a suite and very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. Close to downtown restaurants within walking distance

Needs ALOT of TLC

Stayed here overnight passing through on our way for a family vacation to Disney. Have always had great experiences with Priceline until now. I appreciate that this is an older hotel however it is not maintained to what I would expect at all. Carpets were all grungy and ripped on our room. It smells. The pull out couch was stained and gross looking . Their was a random kitchen in the room which was not needed and very dated. The fridge was in a separate unfinished room and during our stay we had visits from not one but two very large spiders .. it was like a horror film come true. Even the pictures on the wall in the room were frightening to myself and my children. The only decent looking part of the room were the beds thank god otherwise we would have driven through the night exhausted just to not stay there. I actually asked my husband if we could leave but he convinced me to stay. First time ever on vacation that I was up and ready to go by 6am. The furniture in the rooms were also very random and mismatched .. it was obvious that care in presenting these rooms is not present right down to even the toilet paper roll was not new but almost empty from the previous guests and the towels were all in array . I actually chose not to shower during our stay just so as to not have to go in the very worn looking shower .

Great Stay, Spacious Room

I stayed at the Genetti with my fiance this past Friday for a night out on the town before graduation. The room was spacious and came with a coffee maker and mini fridge. The king bed was comfy. The ambiance is a bit dated but added a special touch to the hotel. The bathrooms are small but wasn't a problem since I don't travel with a lot of items. Amenities were nice and everything was clean. Located directly downtown it's extremely close to many bars and restaurants. Parking was free and breakfast in the morning was complimentary. I would definitely stay here again.

Lots of history at this hotel

Stayed here for business. Had room 807, very large room with a small kitchenette. This hotel is old, but is still comfortable. The bar is a nice place to spend some down time. We had breakfast buffet here, and it was great!!! Lots of choices, fresh foods. Scrambled eggs w/cheese, sausage, bacon, corned beef hash was great!!! Fresh fruits, coffee and juices. If you like history and want to feel like your back in time, this is a great place to stay. Don't get me wrong, it might be old but it is well kept. The hallways show celebrities from the past that have graced the hotel. Parking is in a fenced private lot in the back of the hotel. I would say it's a must experience hotel.

Charming and peaceful

We were passing through the area and chose to stay at the Genetti for just one night. The staff were beyond amazing - it was a quiet night in the hotel and staff didn't mind taking extra time to help us out, make recommendations of things to do in the area, or help us in pretty much any way. I was very impressed.

The room was spacious, nicely appointed and clean. The bathroom seemed a little dated, but everything worked the way it was supposed to work, so no complaints.

We had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed a great meal after a long day of travel. The server did not rush us, made good recommendations, and took the time to make us feel at home.

Overall, we had an incredibly positive experience and left feeling like we wanted to return and spend some more time at the Genetti in future.
