We showed up to stay here while in town for a wedding and we had 3 rooms. There was confusion and rudeness at check in. One room had no towels and AC didn't work there was trash and boxers under the bed. In the other rooms the floor were disgusting after walking across it out feet were black. There was also trash and signs of drugs under the bed. This hotel was absolutely gross and I don't recommend that anyone have to go through this. We didn't even stay these are things we notice when there for less than an hour. After our family wedding we went ahead and drove home.

Don't ever judge a book by it's cover!! I read all the reviews before I booked this motel but there was no other choice. I didn't have much encouragement. We arrived and checked in and opened the door!!! Beautiful comforter, new paint with warm welcoming colors, nice clean room, new fixtures in bathroom. Everything was clean and nicely taken care of. The people there were nice and friendly. It's was way beyond my expectations!! Good job I'll come back to Geneva!!

Not recommended.

I've stayed here while hunting in this part of the state. While the place is "pet friendly," the pet fee is $25 per night, which is absurd given the quality and room cost. The rooms are not well maintained and cleanliness is questionable. It is worth driving to the next town to find a better option. But if you really must stay here, it is a viable option so long as your expectations aren't high.

Pass it by and don't look back!!!!!

We traveled approx. 400 miles for a family wedding. The wedding hosts had suggested that staying in any of the numerous motels in York would probably be better in terms of niceties, but we thought staying in the one local motel in Geneva would be a better choice in terms of not driving 30 miles after the reception/dance/party. THAT'S WHAT WE GET FOR THINKING!!! The only positive in the whole experience was that they did let us cancel on one room that was going to be unused because of a no show by some other folks. Maybe their retribution was to put us in the very worst room in the joint, but at any rate, it was a filthy, smelly hole. Incense burning is not a good cover for filth. The first thing noticed on entering the room is the dresser/TV stand pulled away from the wall to make room for the no touch mouse trap behind it, which my wife said was tripped at some point while we were there. (She uses the same kind of trap effectively in our barn, and knows how they work!) Gaping cracks under the door and all the way around the floor level air conditioner for the mice to come right in through, though the air conditioner did work well. The refrigerator did work, but had not been turned on. The beds were not terrible, but the bedding was stale, yellowed, and stiff, and when we pulled it down, there were bugs in the beds. The only reason for using the unkept shower this morning was to be sure we washed off anything that might have been with us in the bed through the night. Water was lukewarm. Toilet was plugged and ran over. Towels were worn out, stiff, and scratchy. And I won't even get started on the amenities advertised on their web site that just weren't there. All this in a room that had been reserved for several weeks, and was going to be charged to our CC whether we used it or not. We didn't just pull in from the highway, desperately seeking a room. This place is disgusting, and is no bargain at any price. Sleep in your vehicle, and pay for a shower at the next truck stop if you have to, but if you need anything more than an hour or two in a no-tell motel, pass this one by. If motels are not inspected and regulated by a health department, they should be!!! I've had family living in and around Geneva, NE all of my life. It's a nice little town, and worth jumping off of US 81 just to drive around and see the old court house and town square, among other things. The Geneva Inn is doing the community a huge disservice!!!

OMG - run away, stay away - i should've known

i am not sorry to say - but never again will stay here - thank God the temps were only in the 60's low 70's while we were here - a/c in our room only circulated the air, had to go to front office to get a roll of toilet paper, asked for a couple - got one, room smelled = bad, turned light on in bathroom, the fan screamed at us, wife checked the room head to toe for bugs = didn't find any in the bed, but only in the bathroom around the toilet/shower = thank God. My folk's room = they never used the a/c or the fan in it = it would scream at them, and the 2nd night they gave up trying to use the shower - 30+ minutes for the shower to drain, guess that's why the plunger was in the bathroom for their use. The only reason we stayed the 2nd night was we were gone 99.9% of the time for a local celebration, and just needed a place to sleep for the night. i guess i understand not putting money into a place - but OMG. We stayed here 5+ years ago, and was adequate - i have never posted anything like this before - but please be wary my friends. My better 1/2 says - "this was ridiculous = they should be closed down!!!!"
