So the resort itself was all right. My children thoroughly enjoyed and made use of the pools whilst we languished in the sun and the sea !!! It was a wonderful stay marred only by the restaurant customer service. We were a group of 6 and at times finding a table to accommodate us was a bit hairy. The food wasn't as good as the food we ate out whilst in Chania and after a disappointing breakfast I missed it for the subsequent days , my kids and parents however loved it. The pool bar was AWESOME and the drinks kept flowing . The resort is so close to the beach we went everyday and the rooms were all right too . Thank you staff for your awesome customer service and kudos to your staff!!!

Basic but clean

The hotel is situated on the beach which makes it attractive to stay. The hotel is clean, with friendly staff. The breakfast in both limited in choice, poorly presented and quality of hot food is disappointing. Need to up their game.

Great week at Geraniotis Beach

Visited Geraniotis hotel in Spring 2017. We considered another hotel near by this one, but luckily we chose Geraniotis.
We knew Platanias already and hotel's location is excellent between the main road and sea.
Bus stop is located in front of the hotel so if you want to get around, to Hania for example, it is very convenient. Bus runs every 15 minutes at day time.

The German market Lidl is on the opposite of hotel. Doctor Vittorakis' Clinic is also very near if you need medical help.

The hotel itself consists of several smaller 2-store buildings and they are scattered on a wide green area. When we arrived at noon we thought we were all alone there.
No hassle, no noise. Two nice pools were conveniently located on the area and we almost had a pool "of our own" next to out room.
The Bar Pool was more lively but not crowded by any means.

The beach is also very good with dark grey sand and the shoreline has a belt of smooth pebbles. Sea water is clear and there are waste bins around. One can walk along the shore without seeing much trash. That's good.

Geraniotis' staff was very friendly, effective and polite and had great sense of humor.
If we needed any help or advice they were happy to help us was it taxi services, medical help or general information about Greek culture.

When we are on holiday we don't want to cook. Our double room had a good well-equipped kitchen which we didn't use a lot.
We had All Inclusive package and it was a great choice.
I have to mention that in no hotel we have stayed before had so well organized buffet table than in Geraniotis. Lots of vegetables and fruit, delicious dishes served on warm or cold plates, very easy to pick on your plate.

The waiters guided us to tables, brought us drinks and did all this with great concern and politeness.
The spacious dining room had an inner and outer area which was nice as weather was not warm every day. "Do you want to sit inside or outside?"

I want to thank every one staff member and give special thanks to Sofia at reception desk and Maria, our waiter.
Sofia even put out bathroom window in order when I got it in not locked state.

Hotel guests were mainly Scandinavians. Had a good time with "Vikings".
Free WiFi performed also well and our belongings stayed safe in our room safe box.

We will be back for sure.

This is a hotel not far from Platanias,just a short walk. The outer space is fantastic,on the beach. Nice garden and pool area. Some of the buildings are old and not renovated,the new part of the hotel is nice. If you want peace and quiet this is not the place. A lot of children and crying day and night at the poll area. The hotel is on the beach,thats the good part. Average all over.

Very friendly staff nothing is too much trouble , very clean , great facility's and location, fee went all inclusive food was great good variety also the poolside bar had a great selection, Elena was on reception when we arrived she was very friendly and helpful throughout our holiday , the lady in the mini market was very helpful and friendly I would definitely go back we didn't want to leave beautiful place, the rooms were very modern and clean
