dsneddon9on 11/08/2017 09:54This isn't really a hotel at all, as far as I can see, rather a coffee shop/b&b/beer garden.
Advantages...
Great breakfast, very generous and incredibly cute.
Laid back, although it effectively closes at 1900 and we were asked to stay out of the reception area
Disadvantages
Very strange sounds at night, presumably coming from within the wooden structure...a kind of scratching that went on all night. This made it rather difficult to sleep

Callbob1on 21/07/2017 08:27We stayed here during a Rick Steves tour. Our room was decent in size and cleanliness. At night the floors were creaky, but that is typical of older more central hotels in Europe. The bathrooms were very clean and modern. There is a step in shower with the wand. The toilet and sink were very good and everything worked well. I needed electrical plugs for my devices, and there were several, but they were behind the big headboard.
Breakfast in the morning was huge with a lot of choices for anyone on any diet. The service was outstanding.
This hotel is an easy walk to almost anything in the city
Quaint hotel, perfect location
Alison0706on 18/07/2017 17:37Arrived on our motorbike, perfect location just a few minutes into the main hub but within the city walls. Lovely garden to the rear, rooms and hotel individually decorated. Breakfast was laid out really lovely and they also sell cakes and the famous Snoeballen cakes which are local to Rothenburg. PARKING - please beware there are wardens, no room in the car park so we parked on the street and purchased a ticket, free parking between 6pm and 9am. Despite displaying a ticket we were still given a fine of 15 euros. The hotel manager was helpful and advised where we could appeal, apparently you can only park on one side of the street??? Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if in the area. We had our dinner at the Gasthof Goldener Greifen, one of TripAdvisor's top recommendations, very poor experience (see my review) wouldn't recommend. Had a drink in the garden of the Greek restaurant across the road, great service and I was even able to buy a bottle of water from them! Note Gerberhaus doesn't appear to have a bar etc open beyond 8pm.

Agri76on 07/07/2017 14:37We needed a hotel in Rothenburg for 1 night and I'm so glad we came across this place. Cosy hotel, 4 poster bed, beautiful beer garden, friendly staff and fantastic breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again if back in the area.
Quaint and special
rachpdxon 30/06/2017 22:45We stayed here for three nights. The staff is warm and welcoming. It is a very casual atmosphere and we felt right at home. The rooms are nice and ours was spacious. The owner is very knowledgeable and was a huge help with directions and recommendations. One of our favorite things was the breakfast and also the courtyard. We will never forget it! Hope to return.
