Sweetcheeks777on 16/08/2017 15:31We stayed here for 1 night before hospital appointment at Royal Infirmary which is only 5 mins by car away happy I chose here as owners are very welcoming and rooms are beautiful, we had one with 4 poster bed. We were offered early breakfast which was really good , given a choice card on arrival which you leave in reception for next morning with any special requests, we had porridge followed by Scottish breakfast all included in price also lots of other choices such as salmon , pancakes , cereals, toast and fruit juices plenty choice and cooked to perfection. Lounge area was nice with beers and snacks , remember put your cash in honesty box. The bed was gorgeous and had very comfy sleep and shower was great powerful with complimentary toiletries. Also hairdryer available and tea & coffee in room was added bonus. Parking in grounds. Would like to thank owners for a lovely stay and will be back next hospital appointment highly recommended b&b 5* 😁
well worth a stay
UkEnforceron 14/08/2017 14:36we arrived on Friday 11th August 2017 and was greeted by the owners. We were given a very warm welcome and given an overview of the facilities available at the Guesthouse. We were shown our room which was very clean and tidy. On the Saturday we asked for an early breakfast which was no problem to our hosts. they were very interested in what we were doing and just to ask if we needed any help. Our host provided us with up to date bus information for get in to town which was only a few minuets by bus. the breakfast provided was very nice and plenty for our needs. The guesthouse also had a honesty bar in the living room. All in all I would visit this guesthouse again in the near future.

DAVID Ton 08/08/2017 22:56We stopped for 2 nights at this hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. Fiona and Jimmy are excellent hosts and the rest of the staff were helpful and very attentive. Our room was spacious and well equipped, and had a authentic reproduction 4 poster bed, which was very comfortable. For breakfast you can design your own from a list that is presented to you, and we found it very good, you also can start with a selection of cereals and fruit juices, and even order porridge. From the hotel to Edinburgh city is a 20 min walk, or easily accessible by bus with a bus stop virtually across road. In our opinion this is a well appointed hotel and would revisit if we again go to Edinburgh.
Basic but wonderful
Ramper Don 08/08/2017 17:45The guest house is basic, with no out-of-hour reception and not many facilities (there was a little lounge and information table only). However, the experience was truly amazing and wonderful. We arrived at the guest house at 7 pm, when nobody was there.There was a mess in the rooms and the keys, but to whom could we ask for help? There was a sign telling us that Jimmy and Fiona (probably the owners of the guest house) would be coming back at 11 pm. So we called Jimmy, but without any response from him. And at about 11 pm, Jimmy finally called us back and told us the whole thing. Well, that's already midnight when we had finished all the things. On the next day, surprisingly, we enjoyed the great breakfast from Jimmy. He apologized for his faults. And that's when we realised that he was actually a friendly and helpful guy. He was truly willing to help us whenever possible. We thanked a lot for that. Although tiny, the room was quite comfortable and cozy that we had good night sleeps. I appreciated that the staff had cleaned the room so well and we enjoyed the stay, very much. Again, lots of thanks to Jimmy. The room was basic but the experience was indeed wonderful.

Daryl Mon 10/07/2017 09:04Fantastic stay at Glenalmond B&B, immaculate accommodation and service. Breakfast fabulous with a great selection of local good quality produce and nothing too much trouble. We were in Edinburgh for daughter's graduation and asked if our daughter could join us just for breakfast (she has a student flat), this was no problem to pay an extra cost for this service, the owners made her most welcome. A really stylish Edinburgh property which offers top hotel quality, will be visiting again!
