Frustrating encounter with front desk
Andrew Con 13/06/2017 04:42I have been a guest at Golden Arrow Resort for 10 years. I recently had a medical emergency that forced me to turn my trip around and come back home to NJ the same day of my reservation. I discussed this with the front desk, but they would not give me a break on giving me a refund or credit. They said the room has to sell in order to get my money back, but the hotel was not sold out anyway. Other rooms were still vacant i was told. This was all handled by a flip front desk employee in a inflexible way. I had loyally come to this hotel for years, but now ill use Travago or Expedia and go to whatever hotel gives me a good deal. Loyalty over. Hello newer hotels.
Beautiful Resort - My Family Loved It
Dennis Ron 08/06/2017 03:19We had one of the village side, lower priced rooms. BUT it was spacious, clean and just wonderful for my family of four. Love being right down town. Friendly staff, small, but beautiful beach. Great view from the lobby of the beach and lake.
Parking on the main lot is limited, unless you have the magic wheelchair sticker.
A free or inexpensive continental breakfast would be nice.
My children and I loved the swimming pool.
We spent four nights, and we just really enjoyed staying in the resort.

kayakingcouple2016on 06/06/2017 14:01This hotel is smack dab in the middle of town, right on the lake, and provides easy access to Olympic training center, restaurants, and shops. We stayed 3 nights here, but had to switch rooms once as our suite wasn't available for the 3rd night. Both rooms had comfortable beds, beautiful view of Mirror Lake and mountains, and super water pressure in the shower (my thing). The staff was friendly and rooms were clean. The only minuses were dim lighting, especially in bathroom, and thin walls in one location (got an earful). We used the hotel pool and it was well maintained and refreshing.

David Kon 04/06/2017 17:11Really pleasant experience. Staff very friendly and helpful, room spacious, very comfortable beds and quick wifi. Bathroom a little small but not a problem. We had a first floor room with doors opening out onto the beach and lake, which was very nice. I do feel the room rate was high as it seems we were between seasons in Lake Placid, but overall would recommend.

KPV8on 03/06/2017 18:57The hotel itself is older and a little outdated, but the rooms were extremely clean. The restaurant attached has great burgers and a fun atmosphere. Great location right across the street from the Olympic stadiums and fun local shops. Love the little popcorn shop, reasonably priced and cute!
