What People are saying

Disgusting place

Adam Bon 13/06/2017 23:46

Had to pay for toilet roll the lift was faulty always trapping you in. The food was poor the reception staff couldn't understand English at all then got stroppy because they couldn't understand you. I booked here half board but they wanted to charge me extra. The phone in the room wasn't wired in the cleanliness of the room was poor every 3/4 days it was cleaned. I have been to a lot of hotels in marmaris this is clearly the worst

Cheap and Cheerful Family Break

CazDazukon 12/06/2017 17:14

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at The Golden Orange Apartments and Restaurant in Armutalan, Marmaris, the party consisted of 3 adults and 2 Children aged 7 and 3.
Upon arrival we were met by the evening reception staff and some of the bar staff were also there to assist with luggage.
After check in we went to our rooms located on the ground floor as we requested just to the left of reception.
The rooms did attract noise but this is due to the proximity of the reception area and lifts.
There was also a random window that looked on the hallway which lets light in when people are walking past, I would recommend this being removed as it serves no purpose, also there are no locks inside to lock the door which would have been better with having young children.
The rooms are spacious and clean although some of the fixtures and fittings are in need of refurbishment, this is par for the course with 3* apts so overall no complaints.
They spray the apartments weekly with insecticide to stop any insects of which i didn't see any within the apartments themselves.
The bathroom is set up as a wet room and the floors can be very slippery when wet.
The pool area is clean and tidy and the set up is perfect for keeping an eye on the children. I would recommend the hotel considers plastic glasses for use round the pool area though for safety reasons.
All of the staff are very friendly and engage with you regularly.
Overall the apts are clean tidy and comfortable and I would rate them as average for 3 star accommodation.
What makes these apartments appealing is the staff and how they will bend over backwards to ensure your happy and well looked after.
There were a few minor errors on the bill but these were quickly resolved when pointed out.
The apartments are a family run business and i can honestly say that they are all lovely and really look after you as their guests.
The apartments offer a £10 per day half board upgrade which can work out good value for money depending on your food choices.
Some of the menu for example pizza is not available till after 6 in the evening though which personally for me was difficult as pizza is part of my staple diet.
If you want to book any trips there are onsite tour operators who can assist just ask for Daniel or Ozzie.
They also have a salon just down the street to cater for any haircare requirements you may have.
They also offer turkish shaves for the men.
Overall an enjoyable holiday and i would be happy to return.

Awful place avoid

I'm currently here now with my family. The rooms are basic but that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is you have to pay for toilet rolls in the room, every floor is tiled including shower room and is dangerous as I have slipped, the staff don't understand English on reception desk, the overall for the hotel very poor. First day we checked in we booked half board they wanted to check because they was adamant we was self catering. The lift is dangerous, the phone in the room not connected as it fell off the wall. On the other hand the half board food is lovely. The cleaners only come every 3 days. Very poor place

GREAT PLACE!!!

Good place to stay, ALL the staff couldn't be more helpful, will do anything for you! Tell you best places to go and cheapest way to get there can't fault any of them!!
Only problem room smells a bit and covers have blood on them which never seems to be changed and don't burn sheet by accident as bloody expensive to replace!!!!!!
Definitely be back ASAP as best place ever stayed at and tried a few countries and hotels now and have to admit this probably best service and food had in any of them!!
If coming to Turkey give it a go and you won't be disappointed!!!!

Amazing

Stayed at Golden Orange twice now and not been dissapointed! The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much hassle for them, there is always a good atmosphere too. Rooms are very clean, we went half board when we went last week and the food was always amazing i would recommend going half board for definate its well worth your money. Going back in september already cant wait.
