The main advantage - opening of a large number of rooms view of the Volga. The hotel is located right on the waterfront, not travel, and almost casual. Therefore, from the rooms and from the restaurant terrace of the hotel offers stunning views of the river.
The style is not existe in this hotel. bad taste of designer. The building requires renovation. Absolutely non comfortable, huge,un useful rooms,if you ought to open the window but there is bar and disco downstairs, sleeping is impossible, you should choose between fresh air and quiet sleeping. Also you can hear every words from the nearest rooms,no soubsproof.The personnel is not ready to help at all and sometime really rude. No touristic info is on the reception desk and the personnel doesn't know anything.the only answer "look on internet").And the last:when we arrived our bed was broken,the night was a nightmare!next morning we told them about this problem,and the answer was "they new about it!!!")))

We stayed in Kostroma for one night during our weekend visit to some of the Golden Ring cities. It is a bit off the ccity cetre and tricky to navigate without a map, but it has nice views over the river which was frozen at the time of our visit. Warning, the hotel does not have a lift. If you have trouble walking up the stairs, ask for a lower floor. The decor is a bit dated, but the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel has a good restaurant that also serves breakfast in the morning, but I liked the dinner better than breakfast. Overall good value for our money so we were quite happy with our stay.

Very good hotel with an amazing view. Very quiet. Breakfast is correct.
The room is big and very clean. The bed is very comfortable.
We had lunch on the terrasse under the sun. Very nice ans comfortable.

Overall a very good stay. And very good prices.
Only downfall is that there is no elevator...

Not worth it

The only plus of the hotel is the place where it is stated, near the river, just on embankment. All other things are awful. The personnel is not ready to help at all. No touristic info is on the reception desk and the personnel doesn't know anything. There is no lift in the hotel (4 floors building). Personnel doesn't help with luggage. NO STYLE IN THE HOTEL. VERY BAD TASTE. The building requires renovation. Absolutely non comfortable rooms. Dirty bathroom with fungus. Awful bath cosmetics. The overall room is not clean, smoked. Very noisy rooms, no air conditioner, you ought to open the window but there is bar and disco downstairs, sleeping is impossible, you should choose between fresh air and quiet sleeping. Also you can hear every words from the nearest rooms. Breakfast wins 3 points from 10. Very negative overall impression.

Nice view on the Volga river

The hotel is situated right on the bank of the Volga river. The value for money is very good. The hotel is not brand new but it is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. One can part his car right on the embankment. Just there is a restaurant from the hotel right under the windows and in summer time you can be unlucky if there will be some party or just noisy guests. The TV in the rooms is old one but the interior is ok, the bed is rather comfortable. There is WI-FI in the rooms. The breakfast is also good.
