Beware, they steal in the hotel

Despite feeling completely safe in Oman my experience with this hotel was unfortunately poor. Not the service at the reception and not the service in the restaurant. But after forgetting an important, nice, and not exactly cheap skirt my whole experience turned into a nightmare.
I was told that luxury hotels have a service between them, sending forgotten stuff after their clients. It was all set up by the personnel at the Al Husn in Muscat. The Atana had 5 days time, nevertheless they just kept my skirt! Despite the receptionist calling them every day, and every day he sounded more urgent.
Not only did the Atana not send my skirt, but they gave me no alternative to get it back. They seriously just kept it.
What a disappointment!

Breakaway with friends & family

Had a great one night stay over, we were a group of friends and family thus reserved Deluxe Sea view rooms. the hotel is amazing, it was clean and neat, sea view rooms had fantastic views, staff were super friendly and helpful. Room prices were very good however food is very expensive, the food bill were higher than the room bills for dinner and breakfast. Wifi can be improved however was sufficient for the short stay. Pool was nice however a chiller would be great in this very hot summer months. We will definitely come back.

i think hotel is missing SPA & Jackouzy facilities in respect to similar 4 stars hotel category

Service to be improved

The service in the Restaurant and house keeping to be made efficient. Engineering should carryout routine checks on all the services to avoid inconvenience to the client. When I checked in the toilet flush was not working and had to change my room.

It is pretty slow.

Had a fantastic 5 nights in this hotel. If you want somewhere to get away from it all this is the place. The views of the fjords are amazing. We used it as a base so we could take in a all day dolphin tour and trip of the fjords as the start of the trip is early around 9-9:30 so travel from Dubai means a really early start. The hotel is nice and cosy and up on the cliff with great breakfasts in the morning. It has a British pub with Pool table and dart board for the evening too. Apparently not many places in Khasab serve alcoholic drinks apart from this hotel and the price is pretty reasonable all considered. Rooms are nice enough but not 5 star Dubai if that is what you want. My son and I spend a whole day just fishing off the cliff which the chef cooked up our catch at the end of the day. It has its own pool and the beach is a 5 minute walk or a 2 minute drive. The hotel is handy for all the local amenities but the best bit was the peace and quiet and the views. Loved it and can't wait to revisit
