Lovely little cottages by the pool!

Excellent hotel and very good value for money.
a nice breakfast selection of local and western food stuffs in the morning.
i personally stayed in a little villa by the pool which was absolutely lovely, me and thegirlfriend thoroughly enjoyed our experience there! Plus it is but a 5 minute walk from the beach.
The hotel also offered us airport pickup and drop off for 300,000r each way which was better than the taxi touts offer!
Also theres a rather nice bar on the 3rd flaw above the lobby which is worth a visit!
My one gripe is when we were there there was a lot of building work going on next door and parts of the lobby were being renovated which was somewhat annoying but i cant blame the hotel for this.
Either way thoroughly recommended!

Good stay but rooms need some tlc

We stayed in the superior cottage and it was cute. It didn't have any sound proofing however. There was also some renovations being done next door so we were woken up by the sound of drilling at around 7am. The room itself was doable as we were only there for 3 days but it definitely needs some paint work done as you could see patches on the walls.

The customer service was amazing though and the breakfast was excellent, lots of choices that changed daily.

Will return but perhaps to another room type.

I stayed here for 2 nights , the staffs were really friendly and helpful , breakfast was good , the room was very clean yet nice . Will recommend this hotel . Overall Aruna is nice and affordable hotel. Definitely will recommend this hotel.

Good location, good breakfast, friendly staff. Highly recommended staying in this hotel. Nice room as I was staying on the 5th floor where I can see the beach clearly. If the hotel can add in western food ie. steak especially when you can have it next to the beach. Definitely I will come again to stay at this Aruna Senggigi. I give 5 star for Aruna Senggigi. Again highly recommended.

Below expectations

We lived in the superior cottage number 620. The room was clean, but small and not what you expected from the pictures/description. There was only a few lamps in the room and not enough light. The AC could be better, either it got really cold in the room or it was too hot (if turned off). Would've liked there to be a setting with lower fan speed. The bathroom was nothing more than okay. There was missing some plankes and overall it looked unfinished (as did the walls in the bedroom). The same day we arrived it started raining and because the roof above the shower was a plastic cover with a little space left open a lot of dirt came into the shower. Why not put a ceiling above the shower instead? The breakfast was really good however with lots of options to choose from (buffet). We only stayed for two nights so it was bearable. The smoking room that was provided was unnecessary and missing chairs to sit in. It didn't fulfill any purpose at all. It was okay, but wouldn't stay there again (or maybe in the deluxe rooms).
