Here for conference
David Mon 08/06/2017 17:35I always ask myself if I would come to a hotel with my family when I attend for a conference. The answer with the Kurhaus is that yes I think I would. It's a big stylish hotel with a massive central ballroom and some lovely old features. The lift is slightly confusing the first time you use it but the rooms are fair. The bathrooms are excellent because the shower over the bath unusually uses a decent width flat bottomed bath. A first for me but thank goodness. The breakfast restaurant has lovely views and a great selection. Yes I would bring my family.
Fabulous hotel
Idickensonon 07/06/2017 19:05We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a fabulous stay . There were 8 of us and we all had superior rooms , free mini bar that was re stocked daily . Miniature whisky, vodka, Bacardi, beer, Coca Cola, sprite , bottles of water . Tea and coffee making with coffee pod machine. The bathroom was beautiful with lovely white towels, house coats and slippers and gorgeous toiletries all included in the price . We enjoyed our stay and will return later in the year .
Excellent hotel by the beach
CLADavieson 06/06/2017 18:55We stayed as a family in May. The Kurhaus is a fantastic hotel, excellent service and an upgrade to a seaview room is a must. The staff are very helpful, especially Sophie at the front desk and Victor, who was extremely friendly & helpful during our stay. The only negative is the parking. If the hotel is fully booked - which it was as the weather was hot and sunny whilst we were there, there is very limited valet parking and Scheveningen can get very busy. Arrive early and secure your parking space. The beach is great and there are loads of restaurants nearby. You can take a tram from just outside the hotel to The Hague or Delft. Amsterdam is less than a hours drive. The hotel is a historic landmark in the area, the interiors are superb - would highly recommend if you are taking a trip to Holland.
A time machine at the beach, at a cost
jhmlon 06/06/2017 11:20Lots of positive comments to share! Great location (you're dining almost with your feet in the sand), everything is very clean, rooms offering a lot of comfort (the beds were giant) but it's really a time machine....to the seventies.
Again: there is nothing wrong with everything that is offered but it simply isn't comparable with a modern hotel. Not the room, not the breakfast, not the service, .... And actually I don't mind if the price is aligned with that but here is the big (and fair: only) problem: it's just too expensive for what you'll get.
Either you should pay less of you should book another hotel for the same price to get much more.

sams1848on 04/06/2017 13:06Charming Hotel in first beach row, nice renovated rooms, but with lowering service level at bar, terrace and reception. Unfortunately the very old Kurhaus ball salon is not anymore the restaurant, it is used as an open room with partly art objects. However, the biggest differences to the past stays were the service personal, which acted like newcomers. This is not expected from an address like this one
