Disappointment

I have stayed at many hotels and this one was a complete disappointment. I suppose as my husband keeps telling me, you get what you pay for. This was cheap and cheap is what it does well. The food was awful and I eat absolutely anything normally. I survived on chicken, salad and bread which becomes a bit tedious after a while. I did try everything else but refuse to eat processed meat which tastes like dog food (just to top things off, what is not eating today is reserved and dished up in a sauce tomorrow). We booked a double room and got a twin room, this was ok except we were on the first floor facing the pool/bar area. Suffice to say that it was extremely noisy every night and after 4 nights of no sleep, we had to ask for a new room. There was no toilet roll when we arrived and we had to keep asking if it could be replenished which is unusual not to mention embarrassing. Towels were not changed everyday and once the towel that I had purposely placed on the floor of the bathroom for collection, had been hung up again dirty! Staff were ok (some could speak some English, others none at all). I would not say the service was particularly good or bad.
I could go on further with the negative points but you will make up your own mind if you decide to go. Definitely would not return to this hotel - they would need to pay me (and then I probably still would not go).

Good hotel

Reasonable hotel for people who seek quietness in off-centre location Armutalan.
For beach, bazaar, etc. you have to take a dolmus.
Breakfast buffet is very poor, don't expect better for your money.
Dinner is of medium quality; mostly chicken and fish from poolside grill.
PS; watch out for the wasps, they also like grilled meat!
Staff , though very friendly, doesn't speak very well english, or not at all.
My wife and I got married in 2004 in this very same hotel. The last couple of years it seems to have been degraded overall in service and quality.
But, when you are not picky, this is a good hotel in a quiet surroundings.

If you want to chill and forget everything, best place to go. Clean rooms, delicious food and friendly workers. The pool is covered with nice flowers, sunbeds are comfy and the hotel is away from any noise. Surely will visit next year too.

TOP CLASS HOTEL AND STAFF

13 of us came to this fantastic hotel and stayed for a week. It was a family trip and this was the first time we visited Marmoris. The hotel we were staying at was top class. The buffet food had so many different choices of desserts and salads. Meat, chicken and fish were freshly cooked on site.
They had a beautiful swimming pool, which our kids loved. There are a variety of different shows played every other day.
Staff were very helpful and supportive with good assistance. As you can imagine, when you have kids on board some times you need that extra support from the staff or manager, we had that support. Rooms were cleaned every day, towels were changed every day too. They organised a tourist guide named JUMA, who was extremely helpful, he arranged activities for us every day and made everything less stressful. We can't thank JUMA enough for the hospitality he presented.

Speaking from experience, Grand Faros is an outstanding hotel, which I definitely recommend!!

I found that at this hotel the staff were very polite and caring. It seemed like they genuinely cared for the tourist and people who were staying at the hotel. I appreciate the fact that they can all speak very good English and they all make sure you are safe and we'll looked after.
The food at this hotel is very interesting, there are some new foods that you can experience here at this hotel. When it comes to dining you are greated with an outside table that accompanies the bar and pool for a good view on how the people in Turkey operate in a working environment (witch is very good)
In summary the Grand Faros Hotel is a great place to stay for a very chill and welcomed holiday, it has a perfect selection of entertainment and will definitely be a hotel I would stay at again.
