An incredible stay and fantastic service

Staying in this hotel was like a fairytale. Right by the lake and blessed with amazing views of Mount Pilatus and Mount Rigi from our balcony. The service was outstanding, and it felt like we were transported back into time with the room decor. Nice thing to see was a list of all the famous people who stayed in the hotel...puts things into perspective.

We stayed at the Grand National for the final two days of our 2 week vacation. The hotel is luxurious with a gorgeous view of the lake, located a short walk to the Old Town, and about a 15 minute walk to the train station. I originally booked a Deluxe room with a balcony and lake view. When we arrived the receptionist offered us a free upgrade to the Ritz Suite! When I inquired as to why we were chosen for this wonderful opportunity, I was told it was because I had booked directly through the hotel instead of using a third party. Good to know!
Needless to say, the service was exceptional, and the choice of restaurants on the property, I believe there are 4 or 5, added to the convenience. The location was quiet since it was not in the city center. Everything was perfect!

Great LAKE View room,where we stayed for three days early July. Perfect location, easy stroll around the lake to the city, there is a shuttle bus stop opposite the hotel leaving every 7 minutes to the train station.The staff were very friendly and most helpful.Great eating area outside on lake side and inside the hotel .Excellent facilities throughout.Would definitely stay again hopefully longer next time.

We stayed for four nights in a junior suite with a balcony and lake view. From the moment we arrived, we were treated really well. There was valet parking, and we were given refreshing drinks as we checked in. The room was extremely large, light and airy, with coffee maker, bottles of water and a bowl of fresh fruit.The bathroom was also spacious, with towels changed daily. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we were made to feel valued as guests. I especially appreciated the little touches, such as chocolates being left in the room each night along with the following day's weather forecast. Out of the four restaurants, we ate in two and the quality of the food was superb. I would certainly return.
