In need of repair !!

Concert in Berlin
loferon 08/06/2017 10:59Visited Berlin for a concert at the Philharmonie and chose the Grand Hyatt as a base due to knowledge of the brand and its location. Very pleased we did as were not let down. Location of the hotel is good. Very close to U bahn and S bahn stations at Potsdamer Platz and many of the main sites. Jewish memorial, Brandenburg Gate, Tiergarten, Reichstag and of course the Philharmonie. We were lucky enough to stay in a suite overlooking the Philharmonie and used the club room for breakfast and evening drinks. The room was large, comfy and quiet. Everything was clean, (unlike parts of Berlin itself - surprising as visited many German cities before and never had any litter problems) with lots of storage space. A courtesy fridge stocked a good range of soft drinks and beers and was restocked as required. The club lounge was a little small and seating was limited at busy times but guests shared tables if required. Only poor part was evening snacks which were a little limited in choice. I don't expect full meals, but a little more choice would be appreciated. Drink choice was good and staff were excellent with service as expected from Hyatt. The pool area on the top floor was clean and modern. Pool was of good size with sunbathing outside available. Everything very clean.
We had lunch at the Tizian Lounge by reception on our arrival and quality was very good. After the concert we used room service and this was quick and efficient with good quality food and again great service.
We very much enjoyed the stay and will use Grand Hyatt again.
Just disappointing from the start
812kathrynpon 07/06/2017 10:28Check in was slow and painful. Don't know why I bothered with online check in as it made no difference. Luke warm chips with lunch No turn down service was offered so had to pick up all the wet towels when we got back to the room after our night out Just expected more from a 5* hotel there are so many hotels in Berlin - I wouldn't choose Hyatt again
Neat hotel at a good location

Service was good (staff got us a bucket of ice as requested - it was summer, hot!).
Located near the central area, with Mcdonald's right opposite, and a shopping mall within 10 minutes walk.
Good amount of TV channels provided.
