Good location, disaster with breakfast

The location is really nice and also the size of the room and bathroom (bigger as expected) The problem was when they forgot to clean the room every day and also they forgot to bring the breakfast one day. They also miss to bring someting and one day they even did not bring anything for breakfast. That was annoying. Better not to expect too much about breakfast, it is a disaster. The receptionist called Vera was the only who spoke English and she helped us with everything we needed. Anyway I was happy with the location and the room size

We are a family with a kid of 1 year. It has a comkon entrance for 2 hotels. We checked into the hotel late and was greeted by Alina. Let me tell you in the start that she was the only one that seemed friendly. We were promptly checked into our room which was a plus as we were tiredand didnt want to wait around for the registration process. She took our passports and said that we could collect it after breakfast the next day. We had booked a double room and the room was big. It was spotless with a bathroom that was large. There were toileteries in the bathroom and kitchenette in the room. There were also 2 bottles of water which was included in the room price.

The hotel is situated in a good area with st isaacs within walking distance. While checking in we were given a paper to select what we wanted for breakfast from the available options. It had pancakes with either ham or fruit filling, boiled egg, juice, coffee, toast, tea, porridge, etc in its options. We chose whatever seemed best it was the same breakfast everyday unless you called the previous day and made any changes. The breakfast will be served between 7 to 11 in your room. The breakfast was just ok nothing soecial. The porridge is essentially oats. Though its nothing spevial it will keep you going during the day.

Housekeeping was alright and The staff spoke english which was a plus. However, we didnt feel welcome at any point during our stay. There is a lady ( other than Alina) who seemed pissed off and had an attitude about her. When we talked to her ir seemed like we were an inconvenience to her. She never smiled and had a condescending air about her. Will not go there again due to the attitude of the staff and to be honest you can find better hotels at a lower price.

Small well located & clean hotel with excellent service

This hotel is located in historic area and walking distance to Hermitage,ferry stop for trip to Peterhof, St Isaacs etc.. The staff were very obliging and speak English which is great if you are an English speaker & dont speak Russian. There is a little cafe a few steps away called Krokodil if you dont want to go far for dinner. But I should say i felt quite safe as a solo women walking around in the evening. Hotel will organise airport pick up. I stayed in a premium room which was a bit noisy at the time as there were building works on the street at that time. (but I am a light sleeper). There is no dining room and just a few small tables at reception. Hotel is on first floor but has lift. Front entrance is just really a door on the street so dont look for anything grand.This door is entrance for two hotels but i think both are signed.

The hotel was close to St Isaacs Cathedral, walking distance to lots of city sites. We were able to leave our luggage. We had a Junior Suite and the room was spacious, the bed comfortable. The bathroom was tiny and they really need to put up blackout drapes that block out the light from the street. Breakfast was ok and the staff printed off a couple of vouchers we needed. Would stay again.

Superb hotel

From the outside it doesn't look very promising, but we had a great stay at this hotel. It is centrally located a few minutes walk from the Winter Palace, St Isaac's Cathedral and the Nevsky Prospect. There are plenty bars and restaurants nearby. The staff are great - friendly, helpful and efficient with good English. Though it is a very reasonably priced hotel, there are many of the extras associated with more expensive places - tea and coffee facilities in the room, an iron and fridge, bathrobes and slippers and even a cold water fountain outside the room. They don't have a breakfast room so you pre-order the breakfast and have it brought to your room each morning. Nice clean room with big bathroom - again lots of extras with toothbrush and shaving kit provides. Just a great place to stay!
