Not happy.
laurensimpson7888on 30/07/2017 01:07We were very excited to stay here and spend the weekend in Airlie Beach after travelling 4 hours. When we arrived we were very disappointed. The room wasn't cleaned very well, holes in the walls and the worst of it all, the hot tub wasn't working. We stayed in the 3 bedroom penthouse and paid good money to have that hot tub! When we called reception they told us they would send someone up, they did this twice and notified us that it wasn't working and that they couldn't get people out until Monday to fix it. Fair enough! But when I checked out and told the manager that it still wasn't working and that we were disappointed, I was told "were so sorry" "oh well". Absolutely disgusting! At least give us a discount since we had a room without a spa.
The cups in the kitchen were filthy, the hot tubs glass walls were filthy, the walls were filthy, the balcony was filthy.
The toilet buttons were broken, the toilet was running all night. There wasn't any sheets on the beds! It was a cover bought cheaply without having covers on it, how do they wash it? It doesn't have a cover which means people are using the same blanket over and over.
I'm leaving this here because I would never stay here again and I want others to know! Please read and take note! We paid good money to stay in the penthouse and it wasn't worth the money at all!
Great spot with wonderful views.
HarlequinsMaskon 27/07/2017 23:38Stayed here recently on a recent visit to the area. Pleasantly appointed and well managed, with a great pool (including a toddlers pool) and a two minute drive from the centre of the township. It is walking distance to town, but the place is partway up a steep hill, so if you don't do a lot of walking make sure you have access to a vehicle.
AZURE - Great Apartments with a stunning view! 😍
Chanel Ron 23/07/2017 23:33Azure Sea Resort is located right in the centre of Airlie Beach. Literally, 30 minute drive from Pros Airport (via bus transfer $20 one way / $34 return) Offering gorgeous views from the balcony (pool view & ocean view) - it’s honestly a site to see.
It’s approximatly a 1km walk into town (not far at all! You can see Woolworths from the resort) - BUT a decent hike up the hill as it’s situated quite high up. If you’re not keen to walk up and down each time you visit town, Airlie’s taxi service is GREAT! They never say NO! Hop in a cab which are parked opposite Woolworths (on the main strip) and they’ll take you up for $7. If there are 4 of you, that’s $2 each and a $1 tip for Mr Cabby! If you can’t be bothered carrying all your groceries from Wolly’s up - Need not to worry! You can have it all sent to you via Wooly's online for $11 delivery. Highly recommend doing this as soon as you check in as they do not offer many delivery slots.
The Resort itself is absolutely fantastic! Offers 2 big pools (x1 infinity) and a spa! This was the seller for us. It was also great to have as the Cyclone had restricted our beach and lagoon visit due to closure and contaminated waters. The pools were always clean and very pleasant to sit and relax. Lots of lounge chairs. Perfect for families or groups of people. Area also has a BBQ and seating to enjoy a stay in lunch or dinner!
We were a group of 7. Booked a 3 Bedroom apartment. Excellent sized rooms! x2 bathrooms and a decent lounge and kitchen area. Apartment was CLEAN and tidy! No issues! Aircon & ceiling fans to keep us cool during our stay. The balcony is where you will find you will spend most of your time. A) Who wants to be inside? View is BEAUTIFUL and C) Great area to eat, chill and sip a glass of red! Highly recommed booking a sea/pool view apartment.
For all those that NEED wifi - All working relatively well given the circumstances. Had 7 phones connected + Netflix on the TV. Thumps ups!
Alan and the crew were GREAT! Helpful, attentive and nothing was ever an issue. Even when we ran out of toilet paper & washing machine detergent, they were there to save the day! They organised our pick-up and return transfers too! Originally we were booked for Peppers Resort, however we had to quickly change plans and search for accommodation due to Cyclone Debbie. These guys were able to cater and sort out something for us in a very short time! Cheers to their service.
Would highly recommend to those that would prefer a more ‘luxury lifestyle’ holiday as opposed to simple place. Fantastic for a group of friends, families and couple groups.
I have nothing negative to say about this resort.
Everything was great
What a beautiful holiday
kelly63583on 21/07/2017 12:22This is a lovely resort. Our apartment was very clean, stylish & very comfortable. The view was the best part of all. Good quality appliances, clean & beautifully decorated. I would come back again & again.
Avoid Unit 21 - Spa Tub on the balcony above is really noisy.
Anne Bon 12/07/2017 02:16The hotel is located high on a steep hill and road. It is ok to walk downhill to Airlie Beach, but is a definite taxi ride to get back up, especially with groceries. The views are beautiful from the balcony (we were on the 2nd floor in a 3brm apartment) but it was spoilt by the unit above which had a spa tub on their balcony and it was so noisy it reverberated down through our unit ceiling and made it uninviting to sit on the balcony. I was woken at 4am by the noise of the spa tub motor and the bubbling and splashing of the water and our bedroom was at the other end of the unit away from the balcony. It then started slurping as the water level dropped. I don't know how the people in that unit were sleeping through the noise? Eventually at 6am they turned it off. This really spoilt our stay. I would Recommend you pay the extra and get a Top Floor Apartment.
