What People are saying
Good ambience, needs property maintenance!!
nChiragon 13/07/2017 19:18We a group of friends visited this property on July and we booked 2 standard rooms with private balconies, the location where the rooms are placed is just great I can say!
Food:
The resort has their own restaurant which is of not that great quality kinda of average I can say and it's too expensive with no value for money.
I suggest please if making a visit have your food outside the property where yercaud has some good multi cuisine restaurants.
Accommodation:
Descent accommodations in the middle of coffee estate with good ambience which lacks maintenance, rooms are not well maintained and not properly cleaned.
Location:
Yercaud is not that great destination since there is nothing to see, suggested only for explorers like us are else not suggested bcoz there is nothing to see here or any such great places to hang around it's only a good place to kill the time.
Suggestions:
*If opting standard rooms choose the cottages in the down the hill.
*Saravanan Bhavan elite is a good veg restaurant in the town with great taste and value for money.
*There is no good non veg restaurants in the town only few good veg restaurants.
Perfect getaway place
Madhu Von 20/05/2017 18:53We (myself, my wife and 2 children) stayed at Grange Resort in Yercaud. A good estate with a scenic touch. The cottages were surrounded with huge trees giving a forest like atmosphere. Staff there were very friendly. Tasty food. Good service.
Perfect weekend destination
Jaymin Pon 07/05/2017 17:58Went with family for a weekend getaway. Overall the resort is good, amazing location, decent food and nice service. The adventure activities nearby is the main USP.
Resort offers 11 cottages ranging from standard to luxury. We could only get standard rooms which were decent enough but the luxury cottages looked really good.
Lake, temples and other main points are nearby
Quiet & Lovely Place inside a Coffee Estate
AngadAchappaon 25/04/2017 15:35Just returned from a weekend stay at Grange Resort, Yercaud. My friends had booked the place and I was a little sceptical about the resort and staff after reading a few negative reviews here in TripAdvisor, but our stay was FANTASTIC.
The staff right from the time we checked in till the time we checked out were really friendly and helpful.
The resort is set amidst a coffee plantation, one will instantly fall in love with all the greenery around. We booked the cheapest Standard room and they were quite good, in fact better than a lot of other resorts. Standard rooms come with a ceiling fan and no AC, not a problem in the monsoons or winters. The washrooms are clean and tidy with a geyser for hot water.
While snacks are served in the room if required, breakfast, lunch and dinner is served in the restaurant in the hotel. Food served was quite good and far better than what is available outside the resort.
One can opt for activities such as Quadbiking and rope climbing/walking activities are available at an extra cost just near the resort. One can also drive down to the Boating Point or go sightseeing to Pagoda Point which is about 15min by car. Other sightseeing places nearby are Ladys Seat, Gents Seat and Childs Seat all of which were not so great.
PROS:
- Peaceful and quite setting within a coffee plantation.
- Friendly Staff
- Good in house restaurant.
- Not expensive.
CONS:
- Bedsheets were very slightly stained. Could be cleaner.
Nice Resort away from city mess
Prakash Ton 22/04/2017 08:54I visited Grange resort during Good Friday weekend of 2017. This is my first visit to Yercaud and Grange resort. I must say Grange ticks most of the check boxes if you want to spend a couple of days away from noise and pollution of the city. This resort is just a comfortable distance from Yercaud downtown (if there is any). Most of the tourist attractions are also closely located from this resort.
Things which I like most about this resort are service, in middle of the coffee plantation, and food. The staff is very courteous and take very good care of the guest. Owner owns the coffee plantation, so this gives free access for plantation walk and very sumptuous food (Indo-Chinese especially).
Room cleanliness could be improved and overall with the place they have, they could easily take it to next notch of providing high-end luxury service with little investment.
I recommend this place to all!
