Great room ruined by unhelpful staff.

We arrived at this well maintained and nice looking hotel and were met by a lazy, unaccomodating receptionist. We wanted to book on arrival and were told to do it through booking.com even though we were already standing in the lobby. We asked again if we can just book and pay upfront right away, to which we got a sigh and eventually a yes... pure laziness.
The room is clean, spacious and pretty good value for money but the staff were unaccomodating to every request it felt like they really didn't want any guests in the hotel.
We inquired about the cost of a trip to sekatong and while discussing our plans over breakfast the hotel driver decided to agressively shout the price and argue his unwillingness to negotiate or let us consider a local taxi.... not the kind of atmosphere we enjoyed over breakfast.
This place has a lot of potential but is let down by miserable and unhelpful staff. There are lots of friendly and warm spots in sengiggi and I would recommend staying there any day over this place!

The resort, in itself, is very good.

The bungalows are big and new. Nice gardens and all kind of facilities to enjoy your staying in Green Asri. Small but comfortable swimming pool with a bar service. Laundry and massage service in the interior of the resort.

Facilities in the bungalow are: fridge, flat tv with many international channels, kettle and tea bags, and powder coffee and cream. Air conditioning. Everything seems practically brand new.

The bungalows are clean. Comfortable mattress and well decorated. Clean bed sheet. Spacious shower and toilet.

Good breakfast and very good professionals of tourist services. Definitely friendly!!

However if you plan to stay in Green Asri I think you should know the following:

1. The nearest beach does not seem to be one for bathing. Big waves and deep shore. Quite a big slope to get into the water and, at least end October beginning November 2016, quite a lot of rubbish on it. Many boats parked on the shore that does not invite you to stay.

2. A big dump of sewage mix with big piles of rubbish, across the main road, in front of the main entrance of the resort. See pictures. Local authorities should do something about this horrible dump because affects negative to the touristic sector.

3. Noisy awakenings as a consequence of the traffic.

I would advice Green Asri to people that, either want to stay in the resort looking for a quite and relaxing time, or for visitors planning to visit around that area.

I would not advice Green Asri to people that want to enjoy a nice beach and clean seawaters.

Garden hotel outside senggigi

Green asri is a nice hotel, beautiful garden and really nice, spacious rooms. Good bed, clean, and friendly helpful staff. It is a bit out of senggigi (which can be regarded as a plus, up to you) so you need a motorcycle or car. Beach and warung taliwang (good lombok food) just across the street. Tips for the hotel: put nice chairs around the swimmingpool, the swimmigpool is beautiful so we would like to sit there. Also, breakfast could be better. Would recommend the hotel for couples!

A very pleasant stay

We spent a week in Green Asri. It is a very nice, small (just 8 cottages) hotel, with a small swimming pool and a bar. The service is extremely nice and helpful. The rooms are clean, air conditioned, well maintained. The only disadvantages would be the location- outside the Senggigi (but the taxi is only 20k and some restaurants will give You a ride to the hotel) and the monotonous breakfasts.

Very clean!!!

The rooms and the grounds are beautifully kept. Very clean and the a/c worked very well. It was necessary to use a taxi as it is not within walking distance.. The only complaint is is that they would asked for transport they would choose private drivers which were triple the cost of a blu bird taxi...walk out onto the street and access a taxi if in the area
