Paul Son 28/07/2017 13:28We've stayed at Hotel Greenside twice in 2015 and 2016 and we cannot recommend it more highly for a stay on Texel. Let's get the only negative I can think of out the way first: the décor is a little bit 1990's travel lodge. But this doesn't matter, it doesn't matter at all because the price is excellent, the location is excellent, the rooms are massive and the breakfast is great. You will be very happy with your stay.
Wonderful Texel

The deluxe room was very nice and as it faced the sea (room 303) we had an excellent view of incredible sunsets, note even better view from the beach. I was very impressed by the bed as it was the most comfortable I have slept in during any hotel stay for many years. The hotel's location is good with a short walk to the beach and easy car rides to other villages and attractions. Breakfast was excellent and in line with the grade of hotel. Finally wifi speed was great and allowed easy streaming of ITV4 to watch highlights of the Tour De France
Relaxing and good
Pauljanssen71on 20/10/2016 22:55This hotel is what it promises and more. If you want a relaxing break this is the place to be. Spacious room, clean and including everything you need. Breakfast is super and the staff works hard to keep it stocked and always has a friendly word for you.
The wellness is not the small standard sauna cabin and shower but a real place you can relax for a long time.

rafderksen75on 19/08/2016 23:36The hotel has well sized junior suites. The bathroom is nice and clean. The reception and restaurant staff are very professional and make you feel as comfortabel as possible. The hotel is situated on a 10min walk to the beach and a 5 min walk to the lively village centre.
The down side of this hotel is the narrow hallways. If you have a twinbuggy, in the morning when rooms are cleaned, you won't be able to get through cause all cleaning karts are blocking your way. In case of an emergency this could be a serious problem.

hb01659_10on 08/08/2016 19:53We had booked a De Luxe bedroom with a balcony and we were not disappointed at all. The room was located on the third floor (the last floor). The room was very large and perfectly clean. Large flat TV screen, well filled mini-bar, private parking place, excellent breakfast (I cannot imagine what could be improved here). The staff is very professional. We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel: the food was mostly from local providers, organic and very tasty. The Texel lamb was very well cooked, amazing! Nearly all tables have a view on the wonderful river at the back of the hotel. Very nice wine card at truly affordable prices. We shall come back, for sure...!
