Always Nice
Itsbreezyon 04/05/2017 20:42This hotel is the nicest one in town for the prices of the rooms. By far the best place in town and the best price as well. They always have the kind of room I am looking for available. Great staff. Great place.
New look!
shondrickgon 25/03/2017 00:44I like the new makeover of the rooms. They make you feel real cozy. Wood floors to the antique reading chair give it a comfort zone feel that call to you. I like the look and it's a good hotel to relax and be comfortable.

Hurricane evacuation
Barry Bon 12/10/2016 23:20They were very understanding & allowed us to reserve extra days without penalty. They are renovating & have done a nice job. Everyone was friendly & the pool area was quite nice!! We even used the laundry area since we were evacuating due to hurricane Matthew.
Has done some updating but much still lacking
rivegaucheon 23/07/2016 18:08This hotel was a mix of pretty good and pretty bad. We did not find it nearly as objectionable as many reviewers, so we think there have been some efforts at improvement. The place looks really nice from the outside. The lobby and adjacent bdeakfast room are also bright, c!ean, and decorated with care if not to my own taste. But when you enter the corridor to the rooms, everything changes. The floor is painted cement and half the paint is worn off. The security lock is inoperable. The room looks freshly painted and at least some of the bathroom fixtures have seen updated, including a very nice sink/vanity. The furniture and carpeting are old and give a shabby look to the whole room. The room was superficially clean but I did not like walking barefoot on the carpet. There was a food wrapper behind the night stand, which we only found because we were looking for an outlet to plug in the clock and the solitary lamp, inadequate to light the room. There was also a used q-tip at the back of a vanity shelf. The cable TV remote would not turn on the ancient TV, and all the controls were missing from the set. To turn it on, you had to stick your finger in the hole left by the missing switch and feel around for the rest of it. The bed was comfortable. We did not use the pool but the pool area looked very nice. I think the complaints about the breakfast were kind of a quibble. Far from lavish, but at least adequate, I think. There were several kinds of cereal, juice, coffee, and various bakery items. Yes, the waffles were the toaster variety, but this is a budget hotel. Some reviewers said it was the worst place they ever stayed. For me, I only wish that were so.
