No bathroom, no lockers, no wheelchair access. AVOID!!!

I decided to book the Guest House Inn based on the fact the hostel was offering a dorm ensuite with security lockers. At the Hostel we discovered we had been placed in a dorm room with no bathroom at all. To shower we had use a private room's shower, this was only possible between check out and check in times to ensure the room wasn't occupied. We had to use the staff toilet (in their laundry room). Also, no lockers and the staff denied their hostelworld profile was theirs. They also claim to be wheelchair friendly - FALSE. When we asked why we were not getting what we had booked, the receptionist decided she could no longer speak english. In addition to this the hostel receptionist kept entering the dorm to nap. The next day we were asked to leave without being refunded the booking deposit. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

We stayed in the Geust House Inn & Hostel and I would recommend it. We got a nice room voor 2 people with a clean bathroom and a good airconditioning.

The location is in the middle of the centre so you can walk easily to the old town or wherever you wanna go.

The people are friendly and they try to help you as much as possible.

Room was fine and there is free coffee and tea in the common kitchen area. Staff is very kind and we went on a tour with the owner to the mud volcanoes/gobustan for a decent price. We had a very nice day.

Nice little hostel in a good location. Get the bus from the airport to the city centre and walk just 3 minutes tothe hostel. It is tucked away in a courtyard/carpark. Kiten availble for use and small fridge in the room. Laundry service and tour booking also available.

Clean, convenient and cozy

We spent 3 nights in this guesthouse, which has spacious, clean rooms with large windows for fresh air, a small fridge, and hot showers in the ensuite bathroom of the double room we booked. The staff is friendly (note that only some speak English, so have your phrase book handy!), they offer a good laundry service and the Wifi signal is excellent. The cozy kitchen with free tea and coffee and cooking facilities is a nice place to meet other travellers (though there were very few when we were there). The entrance to the courtyard of the old building suggests a very basic place, but it's really quite nice inside. It's in a good location too, being so close to 28 May metro station for airport and international bus station links and the boulevard (on the Hilton end, furthest from the Old Town). There are many shops, cafés and kebab places nearby and you can walk to the main shopping street, fountain square and beyond that Old Town and the Flame Towers.
