Comfortable and friendly hotel
tnr040470on 07/09/2017 22:30We went to visit the famous Granby Zoo and were looking for a place to spend the weekend. I had stayed at the Hotel Castel back in 2000. Always a great place. Very nice location, right on the main drag with everything in proximity (restaurants, convinence stores, gas stations, ect...) and only 2 miles from the zoo!! The rooms are spacious and clean. They all have nice big balcony's. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and helpful with anything you need. They also have a great heated outdoor pool. Very comfortable place to stay. Good in-house restaurant and bar as well. I will abslutely stay here again on any return trips to Granby.
wonderful kid friendly hotel
Josee Lon 07/09/2017 06:00Room was very clean, perfectly sized with a nice balcony. The beds are very comfortable. It contains all the amenities you could want in a hotel. The pool was wonderful, not deep at all, which is wonderful for parents who want to relax a little. Lots of lounge chairs around the pool. The little park beside the pool is an amazing addition for the kids. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast bar was delightful, they cook your food right in front of you which is 100% better than the breakfast buffets in most hotels where the food is almost inedible. The staff I encountered were friendly. Highly recommended.
nice family trip
Delphine Hon 28/08/2017 13:52clean, renovated bedroom with balcony, quiet even with the large number of children, very kids friendly, outdoor heated pool with chairs and tables, decent gym, yummy breakfast, good location... we will be back.
2 nights in August
AndreOttawa_Canadaon 21/08/2017 17:26We stayed 2 nights, we had a suite on the fifth floor (top floor). The room was huge with a sitting area with 2 couches and a table and 4 chairs. There was a huge washroom with a spa. A fridge, a Keurig, tv and dvd. It was clean. They have a restaurant, a pub and a breakfast area. We went to the pub for a drink and to the breakfast area for one breakfast. The pub is ok. The breakfast area can be quite busy/noisy if there are lots of kids. Many families in the hotel doing the zoo and using the hotel as a resort with the outside pool.
A big plus is the location. Restaurants all around and a shopping center just behind the hotel.
The staff is friendly and works very hard to make sure every think is ok. If I go back to Granby, I will use the same hotel for sure.

scooter don 17/08/2017 15:49It is an average hotel. rooms are clean, service is good and it is close to a lot of restaurants. Stayed there just for one night on a business trip. Nothing to get excited about. Need some TLC soon .
