One night stay
DRLong12on 19/06/2015 19:32I stayed at the Hotel des Bains for one night while visiting the Paris area. I was disappointed by the lack of parking, especially since the listing I booked through specifically said free parking was available. It was - but it was street parking in a neighborhood, and it was up to the guest to find an available spot. My room was spacious and clean, although the shower was definitely on the small side. There was only one outlet in the room - by the door, halfway up the wall - which isn't very helpful. The breakfast was fine, just some tea or coffee, a croissant, and bit of bread. The location was nice - about 1.5 KM (1 mile) from a metro stop, and it was a wonderful walk to the metro. Only one transfer got me to right downtown Paris next to the Eiffel Tower. The staff did not speak English, which made communication difficult. I had a room at the far back of the building and wi-fi was not very strong - in fact, I had to sit at the door with it propped open to get even a halfway decent signal. Overall, got what I paid for, and would probably stay again due to the value.
Basic hotel, good value for money
djdpearsonon 23/04/2015 21:21Don't expect the frills you get from larger, more expensive chains, but the rooms are clean, beds comfortable and hosts friendly and helpful. Wifi is free and is OK, only watch out is that not all rooms have private bathrooms, and room size is variable. Room 22 on the ground floor is larger with a good size bathroom, but be warned that hotel can be noisy at night. Very good value for the price, would use again.
Good basic hotel
GFM_59on 15/03/2015 20:43Clean and tidy hotel with good location for business nearby. Supermarket just up the street and bakery nearby for breakfast. Wifi worked ok and room prices very reasonable. Only downside was the private bathroom (room 3) which was the smallest of all the hotels I have stayed in. I could use it but anyone larger than me would find it very difficult.
