Well located in downtown Rouyn Noranda near a beautiful lake and communicating bike-path. Nearby tennis and other sports venues. Walking distance to the towns bars & restos. Hotel Gouverneur le Noranda is the best place in town👍
Admin is so bad
Oubidar Mon 06/04/2017 19:59I suggest to take any other hotel in the region, i have reserved two weeks in advance and when arrived they were overbooked, i was transferred to comfort inn and payed 30$ more because of their own issue.

Re-purposed industrial building?
fearlessbobon 20/09/2016 20:33When you get there, you wonder whether you have the correct address: the building looks like an industrial building, very easy to miss the fact that this is the hotel. Once inside, different feeling, well appointed interior, spacious and modern rooms, comfy beds, impeccably maintained. The onsite restaurant Le Cellier has a very nice menu, for both dinner and breakfast. Friendly and courteous staff. The parking arrangement mostly on the street does not feel that secure. Good location within walking distance of restaurants and other businesses.
Great place after a long drive!
fl_vtxfreakon 27/06/2016 22:00Rouyn-Noranda was the halfway point on our motorcycle trip leaving Montreal for Wawa. Not a huge place but everything inside was immaculate. The reception staff were very polite and helpful. Our room wasn't quite ready yet but they held our luggage and helmets while we went into the restaurant (great by the way) and had some drinks and soup. The room was spotless and included a Keurig, complementary sparkling water and snacks, a small refrigerator. TV and free internet and we were set for the night.

Whereareyougoing2016on 12/06/2016 16:39Traveling up north usually means staying in a less than favorable hotel... Not when you stay at Hotel Gouverneur! Great service, great look, and great rooms! Close to the hospital and the arena, the attached restaurant Le Cellier really ties it all together as a one stop shop!
I stayed next to the ice machine on my floor (Didn't hear a thing). If you have someone above you, you might hear some creaking as they walk around, it wasn't enough to bother me, but it might bother some.
Another restaurant I have checked out in the past was Pizzadelique, it has since been renamed to Pizzee, but I was assured by the locals it is the same great taste, so check it out!
I look forward to my next stay at Gouverneur and would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in the area.
