We have stayed at the Hablis numerous times and this visit was a disappointment. Both the Moon and Sixpence pub as well as the rooftop restaurant were closed. They are demolishing the spa on the top floor (opened less than three years ago) and are drilling and banging and the workmen are carrying loads back and forth as we were swimming in the pool. There is still a strong smell of dampness in the rooms even though the carpets were removed last year. The staff has completely turned over since our last visit and consequently we didn't feel as welcomed as other times. The breakfasts are very good. We were very pleased with Srinivas, the driver we had two of the days. He is helpful, speaks good English (as well as four other languages) and is an excellent, smooth driver.

Good location, approx 20 minutes drive from airport, nice clean rooms.
Very good supportive staff.
Food is good but very limited options.
B/Fast good spread but almost repetitive.
Few restaurants nearby.

Stayed there for an official visit, the check in formalities were quick. Rooms are average with good air conditioning, this is located on the main street, so you will get an only street view. They have small rooftop pool which converted into the poolside restaurant after 07 PM. Food is average and repetitive. Ok for an official visit. Want to convey special thanks to Mr. SOJI from hotel staff for extending the help to get local convence at the very last minute.

Hablis - Good experience

Driving from Bangalore, arrived mid day @ Hablis. The valet parking took care of my car while we were assisted to the reception. Spent 2 nights at the hotel. Well, ambience is 5 star. For Service I'll give 4. The staff looked a bit confused always and re checking the answers but friendly they are. Breakfast gives plenty of choices and suggested. Lunch and dinner, I always suggest you to explore authentic cuisines like chettinad, dindigul, trichy, madurai etc, around the hotel. Plenty of restaurants within 25 minute radius. Rooms rated at 5, clean, cozy, furnished and all yours. Keep up the good work guys.

Excellent room, good location.

However, the commode was dirty when we checked in. The coffee mugs had stains. Upon complaint they cleaned/replaced immediately. Ideally this should have been taken care of before checking us in.

The valet also left our car engine running and unattended.

We (wife and kid) stayed there one night. Decent place if you overlook these things.
