Relaxing Get-a-way with a Spectacular View
Diana Lon 01/06/2017 14:46After a long evening on the Mt. Washington dinner/dance cruise with my bae, we stayed at the Half Moon in a private large cottage. All the amenities of home and a nice size kitchenette. We had a balcony to enjoy the foliage and sunset. It was my favorite date of all time. (Not bad for 42 years young!)

linsmac012017on 07/05/2017 13:02The top floor of the motel is the best if you want a beautiful view of the lake. Reasonably priced. We just love the scenery. Close enough to some really nice spots to visit. Must take the Mt. Washington dinner cruise and look for a show night. We'll miss it this year.
Clean room but...

My room was a large cottage. It was clean and large room. It has microwave, refrigerator, and coffee machine. It was little bit not good drain in the kitchen.
Bed was clean.
One problem, Room was so cold! I saw an air-conditioner, but I couldn't find a heater.
Summer of 42
Chuck Bon 21/10/2016 17:57Trying to find reasonably priced lodging around the lake is challenging. We found a small cabin for $140 a night. It reminded me of the movie, Summer of 42. It was probably built in the 30's or 40's and was nice with two double beds, a kitchenette, and small bathroom. It also had a nice screened in front porch and being up on a hill provided a nice view of the lake. Parking is on the grass right in front of your cabin, which makes it easy for handling luggage. The outside walls are thin, you can hear other guests coming and going easily. The only problem we had was the front door had an inch gap at the bottom of the door which allowed cold air (it was about 50 overnight) to pour into the room. We used the bedspread to block the breeze. It was a step back in time with a great view.

We truly loved it - very clean - and our check in simple and flawless - it was raining - all year no rain but it did and many of the strip shops were closed - so no souvineers but we went down to watch the sox game at the bar and made the best - our puppy was welcomed and she loved it - comfortable and the view of the lake fantastic - we cant wait to return next year !!! and we will let everyone know its a fantastic choice - simple and no frills but homey!!!
