A peaceful overnight stop 2 hours from the Stena Ferry port
eurobob12on 07/10/2016 07:17We booked a day crossing and had a long drive to Harwich leaving home at 4am, with arriving in Hook of Holland at rush hour, a stop between 1 and 2 hours was our plan.
Sat nav was a must to guide us out and on our way towards Austria.
This hotel does not fit the mental image of "Auberge". But it gave us a very pleasent stay room huge so was the bathroom both very clean and comfortable. In the ground there are holiday bungalows which again doesnt fit with the title.
BUT its a great stop over. Dinner was excellent, staff attentive and extremely helpful. Best of all as this place is well into the countryside it was quiet and peaceful.
As a stopover it fitted our checklist perfectly.
Very European
1StepBeginningon 01/08/2016 05:01Like a high class,.old school, European hotel. Everyone speaks perfect English as I have selfishly come to expect from the Dutch. Child friendly. A flat area. I wish I had brought my skateboard. Room are big enough to have a party in. But it would be criminal to break the peace and harmony of this wonderful area.
Excellent Auberge
cidi1on 19/04/2016 09:15We stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed the picturesque and quiet ambiente of both hotel and environment. The food in the restaurant was excellent, the furbishing of the hotel very authentic and comfortable. Rooms were clean and well equipped. The location in the midst of a countryside park was very romantic.

Breath taking
Alain Bon 10/04/2014 10:57Very nice place to be either for business or leisure at the Auberge de Hilver.
Quietness and all-you-need package will welcome you at this place I know now since years. Worth the detour to enjoy, as I did on my way to Utrecht!
