Good Convenient Hotel in Terneuzen
sharmarkoson 29/05/2017 16:15Clean spacious rooms, with free wi-fi in a safe scenic location of Terneuzen. Nice restaurant with bar on property serving breakfast lunch and dinner. There is a bike and walking path nearby for a good evening walk, jog. A 10-15 min walk away is more restaurants and shopping, we ate at a greek restaurant.
They offer bike rentals if you want to ride along the water way. Overall a good place to stay on a business visit.
Hotel with very friendly staff
andy_iqon 01/04/2017 14:58Hotel is just by the river, so if weather is good you shouldn't miss the opportunity to take a beer in the terrace of the bar. Hotel is not specially beautiful but its really quiet, comfortable and staff was really friendly; morning breakfast quite complete, good choices of breads.
Disappointing.
Fram1959on 06/03/2017 10:17Nice view out over the river but that's about it. The food was okay but bland and the service was painfully slow. No decent rum at the bar only Bacardi.
The kettle in the room took an eternity to boil, and there was some sort of coffee bag coffee maker with no instructions that should have been in a museum/skip.
There was no movie channel on the TV either, and half the channels weren't tuned in properly. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Alright for one night but not for any length of time. We were there 5 nights and ate out 3. 10 euro taxi ride to old town centre.
Great hotel
rfmunselon 23/01/2017 17:22We were looking for a hotel with a simple spa in Zeeland which is how we came to choose the Hampshire Hotel - Churchill Terneuzen. We were only staying for one night and enjoyed the sauna and the pool. Both very pleasant. The hotel is rebuilding its 3rd-6th floor but we did not notice any building activities. The hotel is next to the boulevard along the shore of the Westerschelde which gives a beautiful view of all the ships passing to or from the harbour of Antwerp. The walk to the center of Terneuzen from the hotel took about 20 minutes but was beautiful over the boulevard. The historic center is the most interesting part in the city center. The small streets, the canon, the restaurants and bars, it all gave a very nice atmosphere. I also recommend to visit the Porgy and Bess bar in town where they do live performances from classical to modern jazz and everything that is inbetween. All in all a very nice weekend. Next day we went to visit the Belgian town of Ghent, which is only 1 hour away by car.
Not very calm

The People in the Hotel were ver friendly and nice.
Very good to have a parking spot. I have just been there to sleep. Maybe some more Information on the room about the Sauna would have been nice (with or without Swimming trunks, do I get towls there..)
