What People are saying

Have Stayed Twice No Serious Complaints

June Mon 05/06/2017 06:09

I stayed here last June and again this month when attending an annal event. It is an older building and kind of drab but was clean and quiet both times. The people I dealt with both times were professional, polite, and nice. The pillows are very hard so if that's an issue for you, bring your own if you can. The AC is weird and wouldn't stay on unless I put it on fan only but it was cool.

But all in all I would stay here again and probably will again next June.

One thing that annoyed me was the message on my machine when I got home. A woman from the hotel had called to say they "had not heard" from me about the time of my arrival. That is certainly not the common practice of a hotel. I give my credit card # to hold the reservation from check in time until the end of that day, period. I am not required to notify a hotel of my arrival time. It is their job to have a room ready for me whatever time I arrive. In many years of traveling, this has never happened before.

This place is OK...

I stay here whenever I come to this area to visit with family. Price is always reasonable for the season (it is now pre-tourist season).

Nothing fancy, but the owners keep the property well-maintained. This visit, I noticed the outside looked freshly painted.

I usually stay in the same area - 1st floor, left side. Never had an issue with cleanliness, etc. However, the towels that were in the room were not very big, fluffy. I had a couple of beach towels in my car, so I used them instead.

The next day, I asked for replacement towels. The replacements were bigger for sure. So, I guess it's good to ask.

This is a great location for just getting off the highway (I 95) to refresh during a long trip or to have your own space while visiting with family. There is a new cluster mall close by, as well as a few casual restaurants and coffee shops. It's on a busy street (Rt 1), so there's traffic noise most of the day up until 11 p.m.+/-.

For me, it beats having to share a house with the rest of the family...we're still talking to one another!

Nice hotel w/ a pool

Stayed with friends to attend a party in March. Very convenient location. Friendly staff.
Staying there again this weekend. I met my boyfriend while staying here. Planning on making it a romantic weekend getaway.

Stayed in May of 2017

We moved here after we found out that our other hotel's pool was not working. The gentleman that was working was very nice about accommodating us, as we had a rather large group of dance students. My only complaints were that the price changed between what he told me and what the female on the next shift told me when I went to the desk to ask for extra towels because our room that slept 6 had towels for 2. The lady that we dealt with seemed more interested in the extra money than she did getting me more towels (which never came because they didn't have any). I ended up paying an extra $20 because one of the children in the room was 17.

Room was clean and the pool was warm and clean.

Nothing special, nothing 100% terrible

My boyfriend booked the hotel online and gave his debit card information 2 days in advance. We received a call the day we were supposed to check-in from the staff stating that the pool was closed. Okay, no problem! But they had us booked for the totally wrong day. Luckily, they told us they would find us a room for the night we were due to stay. When we got there, there was a hair on the mattress, an old fly that fell from the curtain, AND no mattress pad underneath the bed sheets. I could care less about outdated furnishings, but cleanliness is a must. Breakfast in the morning began at 6 and had a good selection of breakfasts foods, which was a plus, and on-site parking as well. It was a quiet stay and good for "just getting sleep" purposes, but if you're looking for a special get-away stay, I would look elsewhere.
