habiber2017on 23/08/2017 04:28Had a wonderful stay, staff were helpful and nice. Room was clean and beds are very comfortable to sleep in. The value of the hot breakfast alone makes a difference to book a stay here especially when traveling with family.
place to stay before going to New York City
Q885AXjamesbon 15/08/2017 12:59Looked for a place off the beaten path and found this place in a nice area. The staff was very good and I could tell that if I needed a anything all I had to do was to call. The room was huge. We had 2 queen beds as there was 4 of us.
Bad room but good people
Albert Mon 14/08/2017 21:58Booked online and when arriving at the hotel the staff was very friendly and the lobby was very nice.
When we walked into the room we were surprised at how large it was. After walking into the room further we began to notice how run down it was. The carpets and curtains were dirty. There were flies that were flying around in the kitchenette area. The worst part was the bathroom. The shower was very dirty with cracked tile and the ceiling had holes in it.
We went back down to the lobby and they were able to refund our money which was great.
This hotel needs some serious updates.
I would highly recommend the Sheraton in Tarrytown NY which was about a 25 minute drive from this hotel.
Better then most in class
M9519LGmichaelkon 14/08/2017 13:25I was very impressed with the appearance upon arrival. It did not look like a typical Hampton Inn and Suites. Very clean and elegant. Also very conviently located right off the highway and near the city center.
Nice Hotel, Great Staff, but a Problem or Two
SGMPhil60on 10/08/2017 11:36The Hampton Inn & Suites in Stamford is a nice place to stay while in Stamford. The rates are reasonable for the area. I have trouble checking in, the first room they gave me was already occupied and after three trips to the front desk, I finally got a clean room with nobody else in it. The room was nice but noisy, I first thought there was a thunderstorm outside, but there wasn't one - I am still not sure what all the noise was, but I heard it regularly throughout my stay. Aside from these issues, the stay was good. They have a nice restaurant/bar that has some excellent Italian food and some great beers on tap. Worth noting is that the restaurant/bar closes at 9:30 PM, so if you get in late as we did, you may not get a chance to eat or have a drink when you get in, The staff was very helpful and friendly, and hotel parking is convenient. The complimentary breakfast was okay, but some of the food was not what I would regard as fresh. Bottom line, I would stay here again despite the few issues that I experienced.
