Mold and cat pee. I never want to go back.
Robert Bon 24/08/2017 17:03I was exhausted from driving 12+ hours straight with my wife to see the eclipse. Everything was booked. We had reservations at a bargain motel chain. It was terrible and had actual dirt in the room. There were also bugs. We frantically searched for another place to stay and miraculously found a place at the Travel Lodge. The lobby looked so nice that we were expecting a good place to stay. When we got to our room, we were floored to find mold everywhere. We decided that once more, we were going to complain. They moved us to a different room. Not quite as bad. It was dark and we put on a light to bring in our things and we just crashed hard for eight hours. When we woke up we realized that this room was also filled with mold, and had a weird cat pee smell. We hurriedly showered and left. Breakfast there was just basic blah, and we stayed away all day and looked for another hotel. We could not find anywhere else for under$300 or more for a night, so we waited until we couldn't stay awake and then ran back to the room, slept, showered, then checked out. A horrible, stressful stay. If they have any decency, they will refund our money.

Great value
Michelle Mon 24/08/2017 00:26This hotel was a great value for what you get. Nothing fancy and there was some wear and tear in the hallways and rooms, but certainly nothing to complain about. The staff was friendly and the rooms were comfortable. Only trouble I had was finding the location on Google maps. I think it previously was a Hampton and the Travelodge wasn't yet recognized in the search.
Bed Bug Infested! Worst experience I've ever had.
Actr007on 23/08/2017 01:31Wish I could leave negative stars. Worst experience I've ever had with a hotel. Drove 5 hours to see the solar eclipse, got to the Travellodge in Goodletsville and room 117 smelled of mildew and was infested with bed bugs. Immediately alerted the front desk and was told that they were full and due to the solar eclipse I wouldnt find anything else. Had to sleep in my car in Walmart parking lot. Hotel re sold my room to another party same night knowing about the bed bugs and still charged me $200 for my 2 minute stay. Trey Patel the general manager refused a refund and hung up on me. Save your money for a hotel that cares, Travellodge Goodletsville treats you like a customer, not a guest and does not care about your safety, satisfaction, or well-being.
Clanky pipes and bad foundation...
davidaV3958GBon 22/08/2017 23:33Well, I was surprised there wasn't a closet, but there was a chifferobe in the room. Every time water was used in the building the pipes clanked loudly. The mattress was just covered with the sheet, no mattress cover. The mattress had a heavy wire outer frame and was not firm. The morning after attempting to sleep I bathed and returned to the chiffarobe for my clothes. I looked at the bedding foundation and it was dark water stained halfway up the side and also had a lemon sized hole on the side in the fabric.
The desk clerk and breakfast attendant were very nice.
