Fantastic Stay, Great Staff
Ron Ton 25/08/2017 12:38The people here are great, a true credit to their profession. Really, probably the kindest most accommodating I (we) have met.
We were in Helen for the Total Solar Eclipse (which was awesome) and the hotel allowed us to view it from their front lawn, avoiding the big crowd and TV crew just a block away. One of the staff even asked if we had Eclipse glasses to insure we were safe.
As other have stated, the hotel is being renovated but It in no way impacted our stay. Our room had been renovated, except for the bathroom, and it looked great (modern). Even though the bathroom had not yet been renovated it was very clean and functional.
The location of this hotel is ideal for a stay in Helen. One block removed from Main street with plenty of parking.
The breakfast area is small for a sold out crowd but the staff was quick to clean and make tables available. The food is typical Hampton Inn fare but is was hot and well attended.
I highly recommend staying here for a visit to Helen and I (we) plan to return in the future.
Nice location close to downtown and the river
Kevin L Bon 25/08/2017 09:33Two day stay to observe the eclipse on Brasstown Bald. Hotel in the process of undergoing renovations and the end result will be nice. Rooms on the back have balconies that overlook the river. There is some parking that is available under the motel that protects your car from the elements. Facility is no smoking, but be aware that they allow smoking on the balconies which could impact other non smokers on their balconies

Jim Eon 24/08/2017 17:26Nice (and clean) hotel, walking distance to everything Helen. Great, helpful, accommodating and friendly Front Desk Staff (THANKS Jennifer and Taylor !!!). General Manager (Susan) was also one of the most helpful we have encountered. Upgrades to hotel are showing nicely. Pool area is small, but clean and well-kept. Sit behind at available picnic tables and under the shade of many trees to watch the tubers gliding by. Quiet location.

nicholasf363on 24/08/2017 16:29The Hampton is within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The staff was welcoming, courteous very helpful with any questions regarding the area. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would stay again.
Nice hotel on the river in Helen
JRoberts2589on 24/08/2017 13:33Jenn is a great hostess at the front desk. She made us feel very welcome at check-in. The hotel is being renovated and they are doing a very good job. We did not experience any discomfort related to the renovations. Very small pool, but functional and relaxing. The hotel is about 50yds from the Chattahoochee river. You can sit on a bench and watch the river tubers float by.
