Memorable Fun time with families

We went from Delhi as a group of friends, families and relatives from 09 to 11 June 2017 and stayed at Heval River Cottages, totaling 18 in all with ages ranging between 12 yrs to 55 yrs. Most of the group was young boys n girls between 15 to 19 yrs. The resort is located right next to a beautiful river stream and even in mid June had lot of water where we spent a lot of time having fun and playing. The property is simply beautiful, in a valley, surrounded by green clean hills with fresh air which will soothe and relax your busy minds. We had taken six cottages and stayed in various combinations, as desired by the kids n ladies. The cottages are basic (all had coolers though we didn't need as weather was nice and cool due to rains. Not having AC could be an issue in day time in April/ May), clean with attached baths. We needed hot water becos water was very cold and were given immersion rods which met the requirement. Rooms are big enough for three people comfortably and we had an extra bed in most rooms.
Right from planning the itinerary to all arrangements at the site, the resort staff very ably led by Mr Rajinder Kholia was simply fabulous. Reaching the site can be a bit tricky, as on google maps, it is their office in city much earlier, which shows up and so one needs to be in touch and take guidance from the resort staff. Right from reaching on site onwards, All our requirements for tea, snacks, special items like non-veg with every lunch and dinner etc and special requests for sitting arrangements etc were immediately met. Soft drinks, juice, packaged water etc was easily available on payment. The DJ Hall, bon-fire arrangements etc on both evenings and also the volleyball, badminton and other games (with a tennis ball catching in the stream etc) were all enjoyable and will remain with us as sweet memories always. The food was excellent and made to our taste, esp after the first meal when we asked them to make it slightly less spicy for our group. Despite the fact that there were many others, we were specifically looked after and Mr kholia personally helped fine tune the itinerary, specially the trip to Rajaji National Park where he personally helped out with lot of things and useful information. They gave us well prepared and neatly packed breakfast, which all of us relished. Mr Kholia personally escorted our bus and had already arranged the jeeps, permits et al. which made our trip smooth and hassle free.
The only issue we faced thru out was bad traffic in Rishikesh becos of the summer holidays rush & in particular the Char Dham Yatra rush.
Rafting on river Ganga was the icing on the cake, conducted by a very good group of professionals, we had two rafts with a separate Kayak as a safety number. It was thrilling and exhillerating experience for most of us were doing it the first time. A definite item to be done by all. The hot maggi and tea at the end after having dipped in the cold river was out of the world.
Would love to go back again some day, at a more peaceful time compared to summer holidays, and would stay at Heval Resort without any hesitation.

The place is very nice which is surrounded by hills. The crew and the owner are very good. The food is also real good, typical authentic northern food. Also, the charges are very reasonable. They also provide packages like river rafting, repalling etc. in reasonable amount.

I have been there with 4 friends and the place was really great. The River flowing near it, the mountains, the view, the food, Raju (owner) gratitude, everything was perfect. I specifically loved the arrangements done for residents entertainment. We enjoyed the volleyball. Overall its a beautiful place to stay

very nice staff. family vibe. good food.had a gr8 time there with my friends . the view is amazing .you can play indoor and outdoor games as well . the staff gives personal attention to each customer.

Had a wonderful stay here. Good food. Great staff. Great service. Wonderful location with amazing view of mother nature. They offer a pocket friendly package stay, including accommodation, 3 time food service, bonfire, adventure sports/activities including river rafting, in house sports like badminton, volleyball etc. Had a happy stay here.
