Nice hotel
BEN Bon 14/07/2017 03:33We stayed for a couple of nights for fun in Austin in June. The hotel is really nice and the staff was great - especially the concierge who pointed us to some great places to eat. The pool was packed, but it was nice to cool off. Don't bring your own beer to the pool...you will get fussed at. The only thing that bugged me was no free drinks at happy hour, which we paid extra for to have access to the 'executive lounge'. I would stay at this hotel again, but I would not pay for the exec lounge access.
Great Location, Sub Par Room
Bree Con 13/07/2017 22:59I stayed at this hotel while I was in Austin for RTX, a convention held every year. The location could not be beat with its proximity to all the things that I wanted to do. The skyline view is also incredibly worth noting. However, the rooms themselves fall short in comparison to other hotels I stayed in in Austin. The shower hardly worked. When you would pull the stopper to direct the water to the shower the water would still run from the faucet and water pressure left a lot to be desired. The cleaning service gets by but is in no way worth noting. The fridge will freeze any item put inside it so if you need ice that is the way to go. WARNING: The compartments under the sink are not secured. I had one of them fall out onto my foot and cause a good amount of damage as I got my towel. Please watch your kids whenever you go and make sure the same doesn’t happen to them. The staff here is amazing and it is not their fault that they have to deal with how the hotel itself actually is. They were very apologetic and promised to get the issues fixed and I hope that they do. If location and service is your top priority this hotel is the place for you. But it does come with a fair amount of setbacks that are worth noting. Overall not a terrible hotel just had a bad experience this stay. Hope next stay will be better.

on 13/07/2017 14:27Stayed at this hotel with some friends. The hotel is absolutely pristine and massive. The rooms were spacious and well kept. Hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel has just about everything you can think of such as a Rooftop pool, gym, spa, restaurants, etc. located conveniently in downtown Austin. Quick walk to all the bars and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel if staying in the area. The value and location makes it very much worth it. I will definitely be coming back.

SJones87on 11/07/2017 17:09I was very impressed with this hotel! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Check in went smoothly and they were able to put us right next door to our friend's hotel room. The Bellman was very professional and pleasant. The lobby is beautiful. Cannon and Belle is a very nice bar in the lobby (we did not get a chance to eat there). The Taco Project restaurant in the hotel was very good. The Taco's are a bit pricey but worth it. Having the Starbucks in the lobby was also wonderful! Our room was very clean. The room service was good but a bit pricey. The rooftop pool was nice. It was a bit lame due to accommodating towards a family friendly atmosphere without any music playing. The pool bar was nice to have but expensive and closed early evening. It would be nice to experience the rooftop bar in the evening to appreciate the cabana's and sky line. I think some light music during the day would add a lot and still keep it from being a major party scene. We were visiting the weekend of a very large convention which made getting on and off one of the many elevators a very involved process. The elevator's worked well, it was just inconvenient with that amount of people frequenting them that weekend. The address to the hotel is 4th Street but it is on 5th Street also which is very close proximity to 6th Street bars and restaurants which is what we wanted. There are some homeless people that wander around but they did not bother us for the most part. We used an Uber to and from the hotel/airport and it worked really well for a great price. I highly recommend this hotel!
