Wonderful iconic hotel, the Hilton fully lived up to our expectations!
linjamon 30/08/2017 23:54This was the first time we stayed here (celebrating my Husband's birthday). Our stay was just amazing. All staff were efficient but the bar staff in particular were attentive and made our day! We stayed in a King room and it was very comfortable. There was Birthday congratulations and a free drink at the bar with free sweets and bottled water in the room which is a nice touch and made our stay there even better. We will stay there again for sure!
Good but not perfect
AdamTamson 29/08/2017 23:00We booked and arrived late to this hotel, having made a mistake elsewhere. We booked a room big enough for us and our child, which had a sofa bed in it.
The sofa bed was clearly broken, but as it was so late we decided to put the child on the mattress on the floor, but it had no sheet.
I rang housekeeping and was told one would come up. 20 minutes went by so I rang again. Eventually I was told that the sofa bed was out of use so we would have to change rooms.
We were all ready for bed so, again, I asked for a sheet. They eventually decided to bring me a single camp bed.
An hour after our first arrival we had somewhere for our child to sleep. This is now 11:30pm. To apologise we were offered breakfast, although had a flight at 5am so couldn't accept. Housekeeping did put together a small bag of breakfast items but I would have preferred the extra hours sleep!
The room itself was nice, except the broken sofa bed (which isn't safe as the broken poles stick up through the sofa). I would expect them to take this room out of commission as they clearly knew the problem with it.
As an aside, I was also disappointed that they charge an additional £12 for parking in their own car park for 7 hours. This seems well over the top.
We may try them again if we stay nearby but will probably park elsewhere!
Executive room
M Gon 29/08/2017 22:04We stayed in an Executive room as a couple attending a nearby evening function. We had nibbles and drinks in the lounge whilst waiting for the taxi, and a comfortable sleep. Breakfast the next morning was relaxed, as was the swim and sauna.

Robert Aon 29/08/2017 21:12Very efficient reception. Attentive bar staff and dining including breakfast is proficient yet good humoured. The concierge staff always ready to help with parking & taxis. Always pitch up here when I can.

John Pon 28/08/2017 10:32Clean, comfortable rooms in a well located hotel. Good conference facilities. Staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. Water flow rate in rooms needs attention - too slow. Concierge service was excellent with good storage facilities.
