Need to improve
Yysguyon 18/08/2017 00:13Location is in a area that is not close but yet walkable to restaurants, convenience stores and pizzerias. Wifi is free but signal is weak in the room.
The hotel is being expanded so there is no parking available. We found free street parking each night but it was a few blocks away and we were concerned about the security of the vehicle. The rooms lack soundproofing - hear people talking in hall and peeing in the rooms adjacent or above us. Someone woke us by phoning at 6:30am with a wrong room call, and then we heard a guy banging loudly on the door across the hall yelling that the cab was here.
There is no safe in the room so we always had to carry our valuables. Toiletries provided are inadequate as there are these wall mounted Dove branded "Conditioning shampoo and shower gel" all in one.
The included breakfast is actually pretty decent with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and assorted pastries and juices.
Usually we find that older or lesser appointed hotels make up for it with great staff. Such is not the case as we found the staff generally indifferent to unfriendly. This is especially true of the staff working the bar/restaurant in the evening.
Over the 3 nights, we didn't spend much time at the hotel other than sleeping because we didn't find it a particularly enjoyable or welcoming place to be.

Shelley Son 15/08/2017 21:42Staff very helpful , our room wasn't worth what we payed , ground all black in bathroom inside shower had been like that a long time , carpet in bed room stained with bleach , receptionist told us it's where they have tried to clean stains off the carpets !!!!! Uck , carpets weren't clean , and our bedroom was next to the road which had a lot of traffic and loud drunk people till about 4 o'clock in the morning , breakfast was a buffet style which was ok , and nice coffee , down stairs was clean and staff were all very friendly and helpful

Check in was easy and the staf was LOVLY . our room was modern and very clean.
Staff was VERY NICE AND HELPFUL . Wifi was free and the room , the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was okay.
I thank you all reception staff.
If I visit Belfast again, I love to stay holiday inn express again

Bertie Won 12/08/2017 20:45I've stayed in this hotel before and it was good. However this time has been so much different, when we arrived on Thursday there was building work going on which was so noisy that we couldn't relax. Then Friday and Saturday evening the conference room has been rented out to a Christian happy clapping group, Friday was just singing, however Saturday all you can hear is someone screeching on and shouting on a microphone. This has spoilt any relaxation we were hoping to get while away. To add more insult to our stay quite a few of the staff have poor English, and the guy who hobbles around on a morning filling breakfast bacon,sausages and other things up does so with what looks like a big dirty dog bowl.

Kathy Mon 12/08/2017 00:03On short notice we needed room in Belfast (most hotels were sold out) - but HI able to accommodate - the room a bit tight - but nice and quiet at night - walking distance to Queen and not to far from Crown - no parking but lucky there was a spot right in front of hotel - free breakfast a plus - all the making for an Irish breakfast
