Not the best Holiday Inn Express in Glasgow
Charlie Lon 22/08/2017 13:12Usually I stay at the Riverside HIE but stopped here as the price was cheaper. Not as good value though, the rooms are OK, no aircon though unlike Riverside, and the restaurant is on the first floor so there is a smell of cooking throughout the corridors. Room was OK.
Also limited bar compared to other HIE.
Well located and close to all the main attractions and theatre area, plus staff are very welcoming and helpful.
Well positioned for shopping and Theatres

Rooms are small and dark with adequate facilities.
Public rooms equally small scale, restaurant is OK and breakfast is good

Andy Jon 20/08/2017 12:38From the welcome when we arrived from Andy and Helen, to the room, to the excellent breakfast I cannot fault this hotel for the cost. Parking cost £3 directly across the road (5.30pm to 7.45am). Very convenient for the city centre. Thank you!

wrinkledpassporton 16/08/2017 17:40The location is great for exploring the "Z"--the pedestrian streets of Sauchiehall, Buchanan, and Agyle--which covers the main tourist center of Glasgow. It's also an easy walk to the Queen Street train station and maybe 20 minutes or so to the Cathedral. But the gentlemen at the front desk were the real stars of this hotel. So friendly, helpful, funny, all while being completely efficient and professional. I would highly recommend this hotel--and Glasgow in general. Lovely city!
Handy location, really nice welcome
Stu Won 14/08/2017 14:41Really great location for this hotel. Close to major bus/coach station (2 min walk) and also close enough to all of the main railway stations (5-10 min walk).
Really friendly welcome, rooms super clean and very comfortable hotel.
Didn't have breakfast - but from previous HIE experience, it's a smallish buffet.
Will be back this week, so hopefully - it's the same again :)
